Good evening all. Hair sorted, I'm happy, lots of chat. Bestie's daughter (my hairdresser) is going on holiday tomorrow with her partner - a cruise to somewhere warm. She was just tying up some loose ends when I left.
SGL, my arm is fine today. It was stiff for one day after the flu vaccination but no side effects for this covid one. My right arm has been punctured 3 times this week so I do have an interesting bruise in the crook of my elbow from my blood test on Tuesday. It doesn't hurt though. Bestie had her flu vaccination the other day and it came up like a big horse fly bite and she said it was really hot. It is strange how people are affected in different ways.
Busy, so sorry to hear that your OH has covid but pleased he's on the mend. You can only inform your sister of the situation and let her make the decision about visiting or not.
    Rosie, I am very impressed!
I am signing out for tonight. See you all tomorrow.

A very good morning one and all. I watched a very scrappy match last night between Samoa and Japan but thanks to Japan winning, England are through to the quarter finals of the World Cup.
Biglad, I know you are a golfer so I guess you might find some time to watch the Ryder Cup today.
I have an exciting morning ahead. To cut a long story short I got an offer I couldn't refuse on a new car at the showroom where I have bought my last two cars and after a sudden rush of blood to my head I decided to go for it. I have known the sales manager there for 10 years and he knew that my recent car had been in for its MOT so he got one of his team to ring me, advising me of possibilities. I went down to look at new cars (because I like that!) with no intention of buying but tempted by an incredible offer I gave in. I didn't need much persuasion! I am picking it up today.

    Morning all from the CA,

Not sure how much time I'll have for watching today @Ladybird4 - work gets worse every day of the week to reach a tedium crescendo on Fridays :o

Can't beat a new car - what have you got?

Good morning Biglad. I have no connection to the company that supplies these cars - apart from being a customer - and other companies are available but I am getting a Puma ST-Line Vignale in Agate Black. It comes with a panoramic roof and a driver's seat with built in massager - that will suit my back.
Hope that the tedium crescendo peaks and then diminishes as today goes on.

    Morning all.

How exciting, LB! A new car! I hadn't heard of it so I looked it up, it's a rather super and plush Ford. Has it got heated leather seats? It looks smart.

I'm going to the hairdresser this morning then to help compile the church and village magazine.

OH had a good night and is feeling a lot better. I woke up with toothache again but went back to sleep after a mouthwash and a painkiller.

Good morning Rosie, Busy and Ruby.
Rosie, you nearly go Col TT out then!
Busy, so sorry to hear that the toothache has been lurking in the background. At least if you can keep the pain within bearable limits, you might be able to hang on until you are back in France. Yes, the new car has heated leather seats and steering wheel - I have these on the car I have at the moment. I've got spoilt! The only thing it doesn't do is the hot metal flattening creases for me. That would be my dream motor! Hope that the church meeting goes well. Good to hear your OH is 'getting there'!
Ruby, my gardening is going to have to wait until the weekend I think!
    Right, I'm off!
