Finally managed to get my TV working and watched it all.
My uninformed/amateur view is that although Leyton is very talented and certainly an entertainer, he's not playing by the rules of this dance competition, going for the wow factor and popularity vote...I was sorry to see Angela go in the dance off. However, she may well have gone next week anyway.
I really think Ellie will/should win based on current performances.
I like Annabelle, but not sure she's got it in her to win.
I imagine the directors/producers have an awful lot to do with the pitch of each individual competitor's story. I also think the editing department work very hard to get the stories across, definitely going for the tear jerker.
Undoubtedly, the competitors and their partners become very invested in the whole experience, I imagine they get sucked into their own bubbles and it does seem they're all very friendly and supportive of each other, knowing what they're all going through.
An emotional rollercoaster for all of them I'm sure and whatever they get paid they certainly earn it.
This week I enjoyed every dance, but given a choice would have voted Leyton off.

@GardenerSuze Leyton's dancing is very good but he has had dance training and has danced professionally so he shouldn't be eligible for Strictly. Strictly was started as a competion for celebrities with no dance training. Therefore for Leyton to be there means that it's unfair on the others.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I think that Ellie will win at this stage of the competition its not always who is best but who is the most popular, as Layton has been in the bottom two once he may well be their next time too but having said that anything can happen and probably will.
@GardenerSuze - Leyton doesn't dance, he performs. It's not the same thing and he's arrogant enough to think it doesn't matter that he's failing to grasp basic techniques and just hides behind pizazz. I find it all very unattractive.

I am not sure we would have a show if all the celebs had no sort of dance training. Every year there is at least one contestant who has some form of dance, even if it is ballet lessons as a child. It would be like watching Jimmy Tarbuck for weeks on end very boring.
Personally I don't find Leyton arrogant, vulnerable would be a better word to use. He is finding the disciplines difficult and his show dancing backgoround is something he is having a personal fight with. I know someone who also has played Billy Elliott he was and probably still is the definition of arrogant, this doesn't come across with Leyton.
I do find it difficult to understand that Layton's natural talents have been knocked by the judges perhaps they feel that harsh judging will help him improve.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I think Ellie will win too. 🤞 I certainly don't want Layton to win, I find him arrogant too and although yes he is good at dancing, too much dance experience to be in strictly. He's been in many West End shows. Not fair for all those without any dance experience at all.
@GardenerSuze - the 10 ballroom dances - 5 standard and 5 Latin - have been codified for decades and that means there are rules about foot placements, body position, lifts etc. Leyton cannot or will not grasp that there are rules and positively pouts when the judges point out errors in footwork or posture.
Leyton may be sensitive to critcicism - who isn't really - but he's not acting on their advice or comments and is not improving each week. He comes across as a spoilt brat.
When it comes to the recent add ons - American Smooth, Charleston, Salsa and Couple's Choice - the rule book is different but there are stilot a dancel rules about lifts, synchronicity and so on.
