What a dreadful thing for Nigel to suffer an injury so late in the day!  Poor man.  I was really looking forward to his dance too.

I enjoyed Layton and Nikita's dance.  But really don't think he will win for all the reasons everyone has stated - he seems to resent being constricted by actual proper steps and doesn't work well in the ballroom dances.  Johannes and John Thwaite managed it.

Ellie and Vito make me laugh on It Takes Two - they are like an old married couple!  I hope she wins.
Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.
  • I think Ellie has the measure of Vito he will soon move on to someone else.

@barry island did you ever watch Len Goodman.  He could be extremely 'direct' in his comments.  Maybe that was in the days before the celebs, or more often the professionals, couldn't cope with being told the truth about the choreography.
  • Len could be quite needlessly rude sometimes in my opinion we all remember him leaning back in his chair with a beaming smile but I also remember him saying to Kimberley Walsh I think it was "you were waltzing around with your snorter in the air" or words to that effect when he could have said "in this dance you don't need to have your head so far back", the judges don't need to be rude to get their point across, my wife particularly dislikes Craig's "your hands are spatulistic".

I want Ellie to win too.
She should have got 40 on Saturday
  • Not sure what Layton and Nikita will be able to do athletically in a Rhumba, but no doubt it will be interesting.

I think at this stage in the competition most viewers have a favourite and this rarely changes.
Tom Hiddleston in the audience had to look him up sorry. George Clarke TV presenter has a dog called Loki obviously named after the character.

  • I know Tom Huddleston from The Night Manager 😍

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
