@KT53 either that or DJs or pod casters or "influencers".   It must be quite hard to find a good spread of contestants who are able to commit to the time and energy necessary to get through the first couple of weeks, let alone through to the finals.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Yes, I bet a lot of busy famous people just couldn’t find the time, even if they would love to do it.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

I’ve never been much of a strictly fan but I actually went to school with one of the contestants this year so I might have to tune in and have a nosey!

    Spill @Teacup

    I'll get my coat.

I don't know any of them anyway so it wouldn't matter who it was. 🤣
I'm just nebbying while it rains.

@plant pauper Layton Williams! He wasn’t in the same year as me mind, but I do remember him starring in our school plays

Another with dance experience in his professional CV.   Well, at least he won't have 2 left feet when he starts the training.

Has SCD ever been produced with using the general public as contestants instead of so called celebrities?

Back in 2015 (l think), there was a "People's Strictly" for Comic Relief @Songbird-2.

I remember Cassidy Little, l think he danced with Natalie Lowe,  but l'm not sure.

For quite a few years now I have seen who the new contestants are and been underwhelmed and nearly every time been proven wrong, this is the magic of strictly for me.

    'Tis true @barry island.

People such as Joe Sugg spring to my mind, and a prime example was Hamza who won last year. Never heard of either of them, but came to know and like them (inasmuch as you can "know" someone from their appearance on a TV Show).

It's all about the "Journey"  :)
