We got home just in time to see the dance-off last night.  I think the right couple went.  And was pleased that it was the worst (in my opinion) two dancers in the dance off.  Next two? Angela Rippon and Bobby Brazier I think.

  • Bobby has the jive on a bouncy floor he could shine.
  • That could be good @barry island, what's AR doing?

According to one of the forums, these are the dances they have left.
American Smooth, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Salsa, Samba, Jive, CC.

The favourite guess seems to be an American Smooth to "Let's face the music and dance", beginning with Angela sitting behind a desk reading the news...😁
  • @Valley Gardener They didn't mention Angela Rippon's Blackpool dance.

I thought the right one went and didn't understand Shirley's verdict at all.   Great to see Angela's Paso again tho.

However, the best bit for me was that duet by Andrea Boccelli and his daughter.   Just fabulous and the best arrangement of that song I've heard yet.   The dancing was good too - Giovanni and Diane sublime.

  • I too thought that marginally the right one went but the one who stayed did make a mistake which all the judges acknowledged but three chose to ignore in the final decision, maybe Shirley took the mistake into account after all as she said last week I can't deduct marks from one without doing it for all of them "it wouldn't be fair".

Personally I liked Krishnan , I thought he embraced the competition and was improving , really not sure about a few of them

It didn’t really matter what Shirley said as the other 3 had put AR through
  • I agree @barry island  I'm sure that's why Shirley said she would have saved Krishnan.  Krishnan improved in the dance off and Angela did make a mistake.

Angela's execution of some complicated choreography, showing incredible balance and flexibility combined with performance, was far superior to Khrishnan's performance on the night and in the dance off.

It's a pity because I really liked his attitude and his willingness to throw himself at each dance.   Unfortunately, he couldn't pull iit off for the samba and his dreadful trousers didn't help.  Someone in the costume department wants sending back to design school.
