Hmm … fine drizzle on the westfacing windows … they didn’t mention that on the app … in fact they don’t acknowledge that it’s happening. It must be just on us ☔️

Unfortunately not. By that time it was raining heavily, and we had just taken refuge in stage one tent.   It got so hot and stuffy there that we left in the middle of the Elephant Sessions at 7 and missed the rest. We are getting too old for it I fear. The drive there from Lux it's what knocks us off.

Afternoon all, thanks for that info Dove, very useful. Premier Inns, where we stayed before had vacancies but as it's very close to Dreamland, we declined their offer.
Most other places were fully booked so we struggled last night to find anywhere near to our friends. We eventually found a mobile home on a holiday park which will be a new experience for us, haven't stayed in a caravan since the kids were small! Looks very nice and we can spread ourselves out over the 3 bedrooms or even share if any of our mutual friends are also stumped for somewhere to stay.

Your son is going great guns Dove, must take after his mother!

My sock gadget has arrived but it looks far too big for my tiny socks. Will try it out later.
Also had delivered a pack of of solar LED fence lights to fit on the long drive fence, a little job for OH when he has a spare moment.

A great shame @coccinella that the weather and the festival was a bit of a disappointment but nice to meet up with your friends. That beach looked fantastic, reminded me of the one we found last year further up (or down?) the Norfolk coast near an oil/gas refinery or something big and industrial! Dove will likely know where I mean.

Sainsbury's delivery man has just been so that means we can now have lunch - fridge was practically empty. I also ordered two bottles of no-alcohol wine, one fizz and one rose as I'm not allowed to drink alcohol at the moment - boo hoo. Hope they are drinkable!

I ❤️ Suffolk too @coccinella … I lived there from the age of 4 until my divorce at 42 … it would be my home even now we’re it not for the need to put some distance between myself and ex.

It’s a while since I did a festival … but at the end of this month we will be here https://www.mauiwauievents.co.uk/mauiwauifestival
where son will be running the main stage as usual. 🤪

    @Lizzie27@Coccinella’s pic  was Dunwich beach

now just a few houses but formerly a major port and the capital of East Anglia.
    We’ve stayed at Dunwich Ship
and can really recommend it if anyone’s interested in an enigmatic peaceful and romantic place to stay.

… so find a comfy chair, the kettle’s full, the biscuit tin is well stocked, there may even be cake later on …
    ☕️ 🍪 ☕️ 🍪 ☕️

I'm all for dropping in where cake is involved!!😁
I'm partial to a slice of chocolate cake or Victoria sponge or .... just cake.

    Thank you @Dovefromabove

Afraid I’ve not made a cake today @rowlandscastle444, but there’s a chicken and leek pie for supper …

… anyone interested form an orderly queue …  👩‍🍳

Ooh, chicken and leek, OH's favourite!

Niece and family have gone back to their gite. We had the first course on the patio then the heavens opened so we had to rush into the dining room to finish our lunch. Then the sun came out again so we took photos of each other in the garden. The children have grown, it is 4 years since I last saw them. On their home ground in West Yorkshire the last time.
