Same here @Dovefromabove. Think it’s an indoor day today.

Heavy rain with occasional clear spells here. The grass had steam/vapour coming off it just now as the hot sun peeped out after the rain. Glad we cut the grass yesterday.

Belated Anniversary wishes to Wonky, hug for Hosta, and a big cuppa for anyone who fancies one.

Have a good weekend all, whatever you are up too.

Morning all, fell asleep in my chair whilst watching GW last night so took myself off to bed early and slept right through till 8 am. Shower chappie due at 9 ish so had to get a move on. We now have a swish new shower cubicle, new overbath screen and two new soft close loo seats. The saga of the broken mirror continues as the width was misunderstood over the phone, easily done so he'll come back again next week.

Just had a phone call from my daughter to tell me she's not coming up today after all.
Absolutely gutted as I was so looking forward to seeing her. Haven't done so since March. Her excuse was absolutely foul weather down in Devon and she's very, very tired after working till 1 am (she's had a very urgent job she had to get done). I do understand and didn't want her to drive in those conditions, her safety is more important. Made arrangements that she will come up on Wednesday and work from our place instead for a couple of days. OH and I are going to have a rather nice lunch soon with lots of vegetarian goodies and an extra Danish pastry!

Hope the rain, which sounds fairly widespread according to the reports on here, doesn't impact on too many plans.

It's really rough here in Thorpeness. We were supposed to go to Woodbridge this afternoon,  but the rain and wind are determined to keep us inside.
    Back to London tomorrow.
    Happy belated anniversary @ Wonky.
    And best wishes to everyone.

Evening all..(how many of you remember "Dickson of Dock Green". Had my scan last week, was fine, much bigger machine than the previous one and just a quick scan. A bit like April, showers and sun,25c yesterday afternoon...admitedly,in the sun, not shade.Hubby sowed grass seed here and there, that's done well. French beans are going mad. Hubby blanching and freezing. Poor youngest daughter, going back to work after maternity leave, firstly one one of the big high street chains, where she was bullied (and she's not a wimp like me) on her second month at Wilko, which she loves and the staff,so crossing my fingers for her. Hope everyone is ok.

Morning everyone. Can’t see our hills this morning for cloud/drizzle. Pixel and I are snuggled in the lounge room with the fire doing its job. 😏

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
That sounds like us yesterday @Pat E … it was a really horrid day here. It looks just a little bit brighter today 🤞
