    Evening everyone.

A mixed bag of weather and noticeably cooler today.

No alarm clock this morning was bliss. Had a pottering about sort of day and did some more bramble/weed clearing at the ‘back end’ of the garden. Still loads to do but I will make a pile of some for potential hedgehog hideaways. I have a hog hotel I build from a pallet, sticks and an old plastic mat but good to have options for them.

I hope everyone is doing ok. When is the heatwave forecast to end with you @ France people?

@AuntyRach   Hot here for tonight but some rain tomorrow forecast (ha ha!)  for here.  I think my friends northwards are having cooler weather due to violent storms.

I’m going to say it… it’s quite Autumnal here! Much as I could fancy a little heat wave to end the summer, I would not relish the 30 plus furnace that you’ve had @tui34

How can you lie there and think of England

The chimney sweep came. The oven looked clean when he'd gone then I realised that the breakfast room was covered in a fine coat of soot. Thank goodness I'd shut my laptop. I'd been barefoot so the soles of my feet were sooty too. Washed feet, floor, table, dresser, chairs etc.

Oh @Busy-Lizzie it so annoying when a job to improve one thing causes more work. My sympathy, hope you rested well overnight.
    I ordered from P Nyssen:
Alliums, camassia, daffodils to be delivered beginning October. Hope in a bulb ☺.
Maybe we will go to see Hoppeneimer this afternoon.
Have a good Bank Holiday in the UK.
