    Afternoon all.

The sun is hot, when it’s out, and the rain is heavy, when it falls. I’m just doing a few jobs and sunning my legs outside before the next downpour is due, apparently about 5/6.

I’ll make a curry this evening - probably chicken and sweet potato.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Had quite a lazy day. It's been sunshine and showers so my black velvet trousers have been in and out on the washing line all day.  They're nearly dry now, apart from the hems.
The chap came and looked at the drive and will email us a quote next week. Has anybody had a resin driveway laid and are you still happy with it? Comments would be very useful please.
Another expense looms unexpectedly - my electric recliner has given up the ghost , the motor's gone and it's stuck in the really upright position too so I can't even sit in it! It looks ridiculous! I suppose  though that's slightly better than being marooned in the sleeping position.

Hope you don't mind me popping in here but wanted to say, yes, @Lizzie27, we had a resin bonded driveway at our last house and we loved it. It made the space  look huge, was absolutely excellent at draining water away and looked very good. We had no problems with it at all. We got a quote for a resin bonded driveway at our new house....because there is no concrete base, that had to be included in the quote. It's a long driveway too. Quote, 4 years + ago was £13,000. 😮

@Lizzie27 we had a resin patio laid at a previous house and it was lovely.  Very smart looking.  Needed regular maintenance as moss started to grow in certain areas.  We didn’t have a pressure washer so used to spray white vinegar just on the mossy bits and that sorted it out.  We were very pleased with it.

That's very interesting @Songbird-2 and Bluejayway, thanks for coming back to me.
Our quote is for £15K. I am more interested in the longevity of resin and whether it eventually breaks down.

    Evening all.
I've had a pleasant day. A friend came over and we went to Barnstaple B&Q and bought some bulbs, then went to Rosemoor and had a good walk round there and a lot of chatting. He wanted to treat me to tea and cake in the café there, but I suggested we stop in a local bakery and buy cake and come back here and have it.
After he left I went and watered the Hot Tunnel.
Absolutely nothing on TV tonight to interest me so I guess another early night for me before work tomorrow.
    Devon.

The terrible weather caused no inconvenience to me, I watched: football, rugby, cricket and athletics, now feel exhausted.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A beautiful morning here in Norfolk … blue sky and sunshine … think we’re expecting some showers later in the afternoon. There were a few isolated storms trundling about yesterday early evening … a bit of rain but nothing dramatic other than the very black clouds.
    Oooh … coffee has arrived 😃 ☕️
