    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
18C and overcast here in Norfolk … there’s been some rain overnight and possibly a lot more to come according to the websites … OH and I are travelling down to Suffolk to visit a friend at his art centre, and hopefully find somewhere nice for lunch, even if the area will be rammed with holidaymakers …

Morning all, another foggy morning all and then it will be hot when it lifts. Congratulations to all the baby news!
I have tomato soup to make this morning to go in the freezer. Our Belgium neighbour once said to me "the sun will come out from your freezer in the winter"!
    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi all

Dreich, certainly not a day for a walk.
We have treated ourselves to a new outdoor table and chairs, which is arriving today. Got fed up with chunks falling off the old one, became worried that I might spill my wine.

Morning everyone, very gloomy and overcast today, quite a difference. Drizzly as well.
Had a phone consultation with my GP this morning who says I can now start reducing the steroid tablets, two one day and three the next. I've very carefully marked them up so I don't make a mistake. He doesn't know why I get lightheaded whilst walking, just told me to be careful! I can now do a long car journey if necessary (thinking of my poorly brother) as long as we stop for quick walks at regular intervals.

We're expecting a chap to come any minute to quote for the new driveway works and another one is interested so that is good.

Lovely to see all your grandchildren @Busy-Lizzie but what a handful! Glad OH arrived safely in Norfolk. My son and his family fly to France for their holiday today.

Enjoy your days out @Allotment Boy and @Dovefromabove, hope the weather is better where you are.

    Morning all.
I think I may have overdone it yesterday. 😳
Having been a sofa sitter for weeks on end I took advantage of the couple of good days and went mad...like you do. There was potting and big mowing and wee mowing and de-bogging (the big mower...again!). Lots of moving and shifting and, of course, thinking. Oooo my back and my 'ip are giving me gyp now. Praps I should have done a warm up! 🤸‍♀️
We're back to Winterish today again and it's going to pour later so I'll do myself all over with deep heat and look out the window.

Forgot to say congratulations @Hostafan1. @Dovefromabove has patterns! Just sayin'

Congratulations to @Hostafan1 and @WonkyWomble!  Grandchildren are such a joy.

Mine are just getting their A and GCSE results now.  Yesterday for the A levels results.  3 Ds.  She's very disappointed as she was predicted 2 Bs and a C.  But, having an August birthday she was the youngest in her year so can easily afford the time to resit 2 of them.    Next week is her 18th birthday - which is also the day her sister gets her GCSE results - she's not too happy about that!

Quite fancy a bit of cheese and chutney @Dovefromabove.

Hi all! Sending big congratulations to @Hostafan1 and @WonkyWomble

And I hope you start to feel a little better soon @l@Lizzie27

I was planning on getting a few jobs done in the garden today but it’s been raining on and off so I think I’m gonna stay inside.
I’ve started to learn to drive after putting it off for years so I have a driving lesson later this afternoon, I don’t half get myself all nervous though. I hate driving but I know I need to get it done.

I hope everyone has a lovely rest of the day, keep dry!

Thank you everyone for the congratulations 😁
Having a few enforced days at home while car is getting worked on so playing in my own garden for a change!
Nice to meet you @Teacup, love the name! My tipple is Darjeeling.

Nice to meet you too @WonkyWomble I’ve never had Darjeeling I’ll have to give it a go!

They’ll be no tea for me for a while as there’s been a water pipe leak near my house so no water for the time being  :'(

@Teacup. When I was ten years old I had a little job as a waitress in the village teashop. I got paid  £1 per shift and teas and scones aplenty.
I've loved Darjeeling tea ever since!
Very mild and classed as the champagne of teas!
I do hope the pipe leak gets sorted for you soon so you can pop the kettle on.
