Hi everyone. Lovely to see you back Chicky and glad the holiday was so enjoyable.
We actually got a storm last night and there was 7 mm in the gauge this morning. I’m sure the plants feel better today. We had a quick trip to town for pathology for both of us and then a bit of lunch at out favourite lunch.😜
Glad you are all right @floralies - shouldn't get too hot until around 11am. Trouble is these darned mosquitoes and tiny midges. Ankles and elbows are so bitten. Luckily, I have a good supply of Tiger Balm to soothe the bites. @Busy-Lizzie those lovely old farmhouses and barn conversions with their thick walls!! Stay cool.

Ominously dark here this morning. Off to Physio soon, to see what the next step is [ see what I did there ] and then seeing surgeon next month, hopefully get an idea of when 2nd. hip will be done. Feels never ending at the moment.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Good morning everyone, another dull start but it's getting brighter. Really warm and humid the last couple of days we are finding it very draining. After all that walking around Edinburgh last week, we thought we would feel fitter, but it seems the opposite at the moment. I cut the grass, but felt quite exhausted after. It's not as if I have a lot to cut like some of you, bit worrying really. Maybe it was the stress of going to the dentist, first time since before you know what, kept us all in.
Chin up @punkdoc! Give it time. OH is a new man now after his hip op.
Morning all.
I went outside before brekkies this morning as it was only 22°. Did a load of dead heading then noticed that the brambles on the other side of the orchard fence were escaping and trying to take root on my side. I've pruned them all. There are blackberries to pick but by then I was too hot so came back indoors. Saw the temperature on the outside thermometer had risen to 27° and that was before 10am.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
@punkdoc 🤗 you sound like my son! I think you two have more than a little in common. 🤪
Believe it or not he’s packed and gone to the Festival … he’ll be working there every day running the main stage .., barking orders and checking that everything is perfect and safe too … and then sorting the sound out. He has a guitar with him which is good.., it means he’s confident enough to play in front of others again as they relax while the moon comes up.

Hello all hotties down in France. Must stop whinging as it is only 26 here. It was lovely at 7am, cuppa outside while cooling off the night's heat. Went to Grand Frais and bought lots of padrons and other fruit, back in time not to be too hot: it is freezing inside that shop anyway.
Bravo @punkdok, patience (and care from your OH) is paying off.
Good luck @Dovefromabove son, I am sure he will love being back, tell him not to overdo it. Will he listen? I hope so.
Holidaying is tiring @Allotment Boy 😀. It took a good part of FIVE days to feel myself again after our stint in the UK.
Hello all, just back from my hospital appointment to have my nose cauterized again. He is a lovely young chap and getting used to seeing me, but I do wish it didn't hurt so much when he pokes the endoscope up my nose! Very hot out there now, looking forward to the weekend when it will be much cooler. Glad to hear your physio session went well @punkdoc and your son @Dovefromabove is making great strides!

Warm already at 26°C so I need to get a move on.
