Good evening and thank you Dove for starting us off this August ☀️

I hope everyone is behaving and there are no more incidents or illnesses.

Busy in work but at least I’m not missing any decent gardening weather.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Are they looking for or at anything in particular @Pat E? It must be lovely for you both having your son home on a visit, will he be staying long, and how does Pixel feel about seeing her Dad again? Enjoy your time together.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Damp n’orrid outside … apparently we’re due a thunderstorm this morning.

    Good morning everyone!

Not so much here @Dovefromabove    Sunny - 21°C and no wind.  A lovely summery morning to have breakfast outside under the pergola.  It will be hot again this afternoon but according to the weather report, the weekend is to be lower temperatures.

Glad to hear that @Lizzie27 and @punkdoc are making progress.

Today being the 2nd August is Saint Eusèbe who says, la ponte des poules est faible.
Too true - very hot for poultry in general.

Nothing major on the cards today.  And I certainly don't want to do anything major either!!

    Have a pleasant day all.

    Morning all.

Rain is forecast. We are going to the SM. Niece and family are on holiday in France and they are coming for lunch tomorrow.

After the rain yesterday the afternoon was fine. I went to a family run nursery yesterday and bought some annuals to fill in gaps so I planted them and did some weeding in the afternoon.

I have lost 3 fuchsias, a caryopteris, an erodium and a couple of foxgloves thanks to a mole burrowing underneath them. Yesterday I caught a mole in a trap by my new dwarf ceanothus. There was a burrow under the ceanothus so I had to re-plant it it.

Morning everyone   very heavy showers here of and on, set to continue most of the day.  We went to a concert at the Proms yesterday eve. Isata Kanneh-Mason, playing Prokofiev, not my favourite piano music but well worth seeing a virtuoso performance,  second part was Tchaikovsky symphony,  great evening.
