Morning all. Blustery day today but warm still outside. Not much on the menu today apart from ( maybe) an indoor job this morning involving a hot flat metal thing and then Wimbledon this afternoon.

Bon Voyage Busy, safe journey and take plenty of stops.

    Have a nice day all.
  • Thank you for the lovely birthday wishes.  I’ve been for a lovely walk and already had presents and cards from friends and family.  I like quite simple food so just having deli food with crusty baked bread and chocolate gateau.  Also have the largest bottle of Baileys I’ve seen.  Thank you. Rosie x

Rosie, that walk sounds very refreshing and will have blown away the cobwebs. I've just been out trying to prune down the  griselinia in the front garden. It has put on so much growth this year that is was casting shadows in the front room and I couldn't see far out along the close from the window. It's blowing a gale here so I had to do battle against some mighty strong gusts.
    Now watching tennis.

Had a quick stint outside earlier in on-off light rain. As soon as the men's final started, glorious outside!

Some of the fruit bushes have taken a hammering in the last couple of days whilst I haven't been harvesting efficiently enough. Particularly the loganberries - plenty of windfalls and others hanging on but mushy. Putting a blackcurrant in the wind tunnel down the side of the house wasn't my best idea either. Should improve once we get a replacement gate in (hopefully in the next few weeks) but I'm lost some fruit as a result :(

Hi folks, sorry for the absence.  I have been really busy.  Lots of nanna duties as its the end of term and First/Secondborn are both run off their feet with proms, trips and exam marking.  I have also been away on an art break for 5 days which was lovely.  First time I have spent time painting outdoor and I really enjoyed it.
Apologies for not reading back.  Hope you are all well.
    Happy birthday Rosie
