Good morning Ante - you snuckered in there! Well done on getting your fence in place - I'll bet you were tired last night! Enjoy a restful day now.

    Morning all.

@Biglad I would far rather answer questions on Greek mythology than sport, but biology and cookery would be much better.

OH did pretty well on Uni Challenge last week, he got over 15. I only got 3, but I'm usually a bit better than that, wrong sort of questions.

Weather is getting warmer this week, sunny now. I'm going to take OH out for lunch today at the lovely trout farm place by the weir.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Always up for a quiz @Biglad. The man who picks me up to go to the quiz is the husband of one of my ex colleagues and they come to our monthly lunches out. He and I are applying to go on Bargain Hunt and Pointless. That should be a laugh.
Have a super lunch Busy - I'm guessing trout will be on the menu?
Ooops Ruby, trust you weren't badly shaken!

A late good morning to you all, although we’ve been up since 7 as had an appointment to attend. Back home now, though.

We’ve decided to pop out for some lunch today, so no cooking for me to do.

The sun is shining and it feels a little warmer today, though the warmer temps are scheduled for Thursday/Fri here.

Glad you had a nice week off @debs64, but sorry to read there are still some health issues.

How’s your OH today @rowlandscastle444?  I hope she’s feeling a little more comfortable.

  • A great many thanks for all the good wishes for my OH. Early days I guess, and she's not used to relinquishing the reins of responsibility to me - particularly where preparing meals is concerned. No choice in this respect, and I'm sort of capable 🫣.

Her tight lips at lunchtime said a lot. I should know.🤣

LB, maybe next time the quiz questions will be more suited to your areas of knowledge. I enjoy a quiz - moreso if I can actually answer the questions.

    Afternoon all.
We started to go out this morning but had to turn back. OH has done something to his back ( earlier in week) and it was so painful this morning that he couldn't drive very well. He is now gently pottering and resting but he does look exceedingly uncomfortable.
Ive received a review letter from the hospital Specialist  today summarising my last appointment with him in July. Without going into details, I've spent all afternoon composing a strong letter back to him( copy to Doctor too) challenging some things he has said. I am concerned that the doctor will get the wrong idea for the future.
Debs, sorry to hear you are still experiencing some health issues. I hope they get sorted soon for. I hope your fiancée can find something more suitable for his work.
