    Good morning,

the sky is blue and the sun is shining - a lovely start to the day. I believe we can expect a couple of days like this 🤞👍🏼.

A few jobs in the garden are waiting to be done, then I’m not sure what I’ll be doing next.

We had a nice lunch out yesterday, so no cooking needed by me. We just had cheeses and crackers later. Glad you enjoyed yours @Busy-Lizzie. I like trout, but don’t have it very often.

I’ve not seen any blue flags, either.

Oops Hazel, I missed you there. Good morning to you, Busy, Debs, Red maple, and Ruby. Hope that you all enjoy your days whatever you have planned. Hazel, 23's visit will lift your spirits. I do hope that your OH's back has de-kinked intself and that the pain has eased.
I have a toffee cake in the oven that I am taking to Bestie's tomorrow and I have a finished one that I am going to take over to Jack so that he and his daughter can have something to nibble at with their coffees. Once this last cake is finished I will be getting out into the garden. Not sure what I will be doing yet but I do have a few plants that still need transferring from pot to garden. I also need to take a look at my choisya which is set for world domination the way its going.

Afties all. OH was unable to play with 23 this morning as he is still in difficulties with his back. We managed the best we could. It was lovely seeing them.
I drove into town this afternoon and flew round several shops and paid a visit to the new chemist we have chosen to use after ours shut down. The town centre is beginning to look like a ghost town with all the shuttered shops and units. Really sad. Got some photos printed off for my letters.
    Tired now.
  • Hazel hope your oh back soon eases.   LB the cakes sound lovely, they will be delighted.  Rosie

Good evening all. A quick visit as I am just back from my sister's where the Ozzie rellies are staying tonight. It was so lovely meeting my latest niece in law for the first time - such a lovely girl. It was quite poignant watching and listening to my nephew as I kept 'hearing' my brother's voice and seeing his mannerisms. They fly back to Sydney on Friday. I'll see you all tomorrow.

Evening all. Another early start & late finish for me - feeling rather tired as is everyone else. Made some new friends on this course. Can't tell you how nice it is being with other geeky people who may ask what you're doing but not "why on earth" you're doing it. Just love being in this vaguely eccentric, academic environment.

@Songbird-2 - I'd noticed the blue flags too. I think they only appear on iPad (not on desktop) and only immediately above the second post on a 'page'. I think they're where an advert used to be or would normally be and I think they relate to said advertising space and not to the post they appear to be attached to. Does that make sense? Long & short - I don't think your post was being flagged - it just happened to be in that position on the page🙂

  • @Songbird-2 A slight misunderstanding. I meant an advert for a business, the kind you use an ad-blocker for. Nothing to do with anything you might have posted.

@Topbird, thanks for that, makes sense. I'm so pleased to hear you're enjoying this course, I quite understand being with like-minded people, makes such a  change.

@Mrs-B3-Southampton,-Hants, no worries, I don't  have an ad-blocker on but have tried to click on the flag myself since you mentioned adverts etc and saw that message too. Thanks again.

LB, when my brother was alive, I always used to get his sons voices mixed up with my brothers as they all sounded alike. Now, like you, when I hear them, I see my brother and yes, it is quite poignant. Just pulls at the heart strings for an instant. BTW, toffee cake sounds delish, yummy🙂

Rosie, did you get the door situation sorted out?

See you all tomorrow. Night all.
