I'll be back mid September and OH will be back mid August, LB. He has to be careful of his Brexit allowance and then I want to go back to France again for the autumn holidays, he'll come with me.

He's taking me out to an Indian restaurant this evening. Someone told him it was good and he likes spicy food.

I am sure that you will have a super meal Busy. I really enjoy Indian cuisine but it has to be hot.

  • Good morning to all. Another day has dawned. Off to the solicitors today with various documents regarding our potential house move.
I hate filling out forms, because they never provide enough space to include all the information - or they give you half a page to write it single word.
I recall doing form design at college many years ago, and there was much criticism of solicitors then. Things haven't changed!!
Plus my writing is rather shaky these days, so they may struggle to read it. Heck, even I struggle to read it!!
How do others cope with this?

Good morning @rowlandscastle444. Oh I so agree with you about form filling! Hate, hate, hate the tiny litlle gaps left where you need to write a paragraph and in some cases the even tinier gaps where you can only fit in what you want to say in 'text speak'.
The other things I hate about solicitors is their inordinate need to spin everything out for m-o-n-t-h-s. My Bestie's treatment at the moment is a case in point. After her partner passed away last December she is still waiting for probate and other various legal things to be sorted out - total nightmare. On a lighter note:

    Morning everyone.
A very grey cloudy morning and looks like it could absolutely pour down any minute.
@Ladybird4 Poppets are very well thank you. I haven't seen them for a fortnight though because of having covid, but will hopefully see them this weekend.
I hate forms too for the same reasons, either far too small to get everything in or the huge box that only needs a couple of words or it's N/A. The other thing is the repetitive same questions asked in a different way 😫 .....ive told you,  its the same answer🤦🏻‍♀️
Hope all goes well with your friends probate @Ladybird4 a friend of mine took two years to get hers sorted and everytime she had to phone the solicitor to ask them to sort things, they added a few more £££ to her bill.
Feeling a bit more like me thus morning, but still feel so very tired. This covid virus has really wiped me out.

    Good morning,

It’s a dull start to the day here, with rain forecast from mid morning to last all day, so I doubt I’ll get any gardening done today. I did manage some general tidying up yesterday, though. Instead, I’ll no doubt wield the hot metal thing later as there are lots of cloth things waiting to be done after getting them dried outdoors yesterday.

Hope you see your family this weekend @star gaze lily. Just take things steady and your strength will gradually return.

    Morning all.

We had a good evening at the Indian restaurant last night. The food was was delicious and we came back with enough food in little boxes for tonight. It was banquet night, poppadoms with dipping sauces, starter, main, veg dish, rice or naan for under £14. OH had rice and I had Pashwari naan but each helping was enough for two. The naan was just dripping with sweet almond filling. OH's starter was a 1/4 chicken Tandoori, enough for a main course. Then he had a fragrant curry of prawns and veg and I had  creamy chicken passanda as I'm not keen on very spicey food. I prefer herbs.

Looks cloudy outside, I hope the washing dries.

Haircut this evening, hasn't been cut since March, except by me.
