  • Rowlandscastle I hope your wife is in less pain and it was of help to go to hospital.  Rest now.  Hazel what a nuisance for you.  We can get reactions to all sorts whether it be shower cream, etc.  I hope you can have something prescribed by the doctor and it soon vanishes.  LB I’m glad you enjoyed lunch with a friend and verbena is lovely.  Rosie

Good morning Rosie (hope you got off to sleep after your early start today) and all who drop in later. I wonder what surprises today holds for us all. Sorry to hear you have broken out in a rash Hazel. It would be good if you could get to the bottom of it so that you know what to avoid.

Good morning LB and all to follow.

Sunny, but ridiculously cold morning for early August. I'll go to the cottage after I finish my tea. Today will be a lot of work to do, and I must raise new fence around one small field. Hope the weather will stay dry.

Wish you all a nice day and see you later afternoon.

Good morning Ante. We are all suffering for most abnormal weather conditions - I expect we must prepare ourselves for more of this owing to climate change. Good luck with the fence building, I hope that you have a friend to help you.

    Morning all.

I hope your wife is OK @rowlandscastle444. Did she get a diagnosis? When that happened to me it was diverticulitis.

I hope your rash is clearing up @Songbird-2. I wonder what it was?

Chilly night but the sun is out now and hot weather is forecast from Wednesday.

Morning all. Hey, the sun is out🌞🌞🌞 My goodness......
Ive got mounds of material to wash this morning in Lily's TV as I remembered last night that I have washed a few things in powder( for a change)lately,  instead of the gel/liquid version. Might be that that's started the rash? Anyway, it's wash time big time here😂😂( Don't  ColT....this is an emergency🤭).
Hope Mrs @rowlandscastle444 has had a good night and therefore Mr too.
I've brought 23's bean out of the greenhouse as something is eating it. It will probably provide some slugs with a nice supper tonight😬😊
I found lots of those baby  critters( slugs) all round the base of our Canterbury Bells yesterday and as the leaves are turning and the flowers are done, I pruned  it right down to ground level, took up some baby plants that have started growing and potted up about 7/8 of them for next year, to start again fresh.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Got a diagnosis that makes a lot of sense. Shingles!!
She's never had chicken pox, whereas I have. Hopefully that means I'll stay clear of it.
    Wife is obviously not happy.
Nor am I. I'll have to run the errands.

    Good afternoon,
nice to have a dry day for a change. Still cool, though.
@rowlandscastle444, I hope your wife is not in too much discomfort, shingles can be very painful, I believe.
Been out to the coffee and chatter group this morning, back now and thinking what to have for lunch. OH cut the grass again - it’s really putting a spurt on with all this rain.

I thought it was the other way round - ie you could only get shingles if you'd had chicken pox? So if you haven't had chicken pox, you can contract it from shingles.
