Good morning Rosie, Ante and all to follow.
Great to see you Ante. We know how busy you will be but it is always nice when you pop in.
Hazel, I've rotated your pics for you.

Absolutely wonderful pics Hazel. Thank you for sharing with us. Glad you had a great day but I was sorry to read that Durham nowadays was echoing what we were talking about town/city centres the other day.

Good morningits Saturday Snoopy Snoopy quotes Happy
It's raining as usual this morning which is a bit disappointing as I had 'plans'. Still time I suppose and all those plants I placed yesterday will be well settled in now.
Ante, I know that you have been having horrible weather also and I do hope your veggies are surviving. I was smiling when I heard the BBC weather forecast this morning as we are due to be hit by Storm Anthony and there are many amber alerts out. See Ante, I reckon they named it after you!

  • Good morning Ante and LB.  Raining here too.  I was up with the larks.  I can see the pictures better now, thank you.  The energy company say they’ve capped my gas in their most recent email and want to come on Monday to uncap as well as Friday am, 9am until 11am.  The gas company is called Liberty Gas.  There were two visits on Saturday, one part service until he broke the door lock and the connector for the rubber tubing for testing the gas meter.  I don’t want them back at all really.  Rosie

Morning LB. Storm Anthony 🤣🤣🤣, they should put red alerts. We are under red alert but for t-storms. I also put all my plans aside and it will be day for reading and watching tv. I missed a lot of things last week.

    Morning all.

It's the church summer fair today but the weather forecast isn't very good. Cool and grey at the moment.

I've never been to Durham but I had rather a eccentric great uncle who lived there. He loved the Cathedral and left all his money to it. My uncle was furious!

    Morning everyone,
Absolutely pouring here and has been for awhile. Forecast is it's here all day. We have a weather warning for this afternoon for overhead storms. It's very dark this morning, should put on a light really, but I can't be bothered to get off the sofa. I'm very comfy drinking my tea 😂
Well at least our hosepipe ban has been lifted as from today 🤣  We've had rain most of the time, how ridiculous.
I'm going to change the bedding and do a few other unmentionables and think I might hibernate for the day.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good morning Busy and SGL. Another dismal day for us all - I blame Ante! (Only joking Ante )
Rosie, I can fully understand your reluctance to have that company back but I do think you should be strong and accept them so they can put right all of the mistakes that were made. Once they have sorted all that out to your satisfaction then I would look elsewhere for another company to service your boiler. I am in the process of doing that at the moment.
Busy, I do hope that there is a little respite so that your Church summer fair is not a complete washout. It is always sad when so many people put in so much effort to make it a joyous occasion only to have the weather spoil things. I also think that for people with their children holidaying at home now.
SGL, I think that hibernation is an excellent plan for today. I saw on the news that your hosepipe ban has been lifted. It will be a relief for many farmers/gardeners in those areas that have been restricted.
