It’s still grey and breezy in my neck of the woods, but the sky looks a lighter shade of grey than it did and the forecast promises a dry day. It’s still more autumnal looking than summer looking though. Hoping to get in the garden later to help OH with the side hedge. The new hedge trimmer has arrived. A lot depends on the weather and how OH feels though. It might have to wait. Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Busy, Red maple and Ruby. There was a slight lull in the rain so I nipped down to the GH to check on the tomatoes, filled the bird feeder and took some rubbish to the bin. As soon as I got to the bin the rain started again. This is so joyless. I want to do jobs in the garden and the weather is certainly putting a wet blanket on those.

Well it has finally stopped raining and there is a bit of sunshine. Trouble is, everywhere is too wet to do anything so maybe tomorrow. Ivy on the front wall is my next job. It has shot up with all this weird weather we have been experiencing - that is what has been triggering my front security light. Top of the 'to do' list.

Confirmed as the wettest July in Lancashire since records began (1830s?), @Ladybird4 It was certainly damp again for the volunteering on Monday - I end up working deeper and deeper into the trees looking for shelter each week.
Did manage another round of golf yesterday evening. After raining all day we got a few hours of respite. Can hear it coming down again now though!
Morning everyone. I cancelled the appmt by email as after the meter was taken off the wall by the emergency repair engineer and the second digit had been moved 3 places I decided I didnt want either of the engineers back. I’ve updated my meter readings and this will probably reduce the balance accrued considerably. Ironing to do this morning. Heavy rain. Time for tea.
Good morning @Biglad and all arriving later. Yep, Biglad, pretty much the same here regarding Marti and here was optimistic me thinking last night's sunny spell would last until at least today! It's hammering down now and from the opposite direction it normally comes from so it will be blowing into my open GH door. Glad you got your golf in.
