@punkdoc … as my luck would have it I have to take my OH to the NNUH this afternoon for those long awaited X-rays 🙄… if you could supervise the tennis on my behalf I’d be very grateful … but don’t even whisper the result … I’ll be recording it. 🤐

When the mens' final was played on a Saturday my mum MADE me go to the shop towards the end of the match. I was trying to wait till it finished, she wanted me to go before the shop shut!
    1. I have never, as a teen, moved so fast.
    2. I made it back in time.
    3. Just as well I did because it was 1977 and I have still not forgotten...or forgiven!

    Morning all!!

Beautiful day here - gentle breeze - summer's day.

Well @punkdoc - tired or not.  it's time for that little rosé "bien frappé" !!  I hope it makes you feel better as will the following ones over the next few days!!   A little siesta afterwards, but keep your eye on the tennis.

An agreeable Sunday to all and asunder.

Morning all, woke up really early and couldn't get back to sleep so you have my sympathies @Punkdoc. Look on the bright side though, you're still with us (!) and the hip's been done.

It's not very nice out there and feels a bit chilly, although the weather forecaster is telling me it's 17c. It's still blowy and now overcast.

That's a bit of a b****r @Dovefromabove, I know how you love the tennis. Big surprise yesterday at the women's finals wasn't it? I didn't watch it but saw the newsflash later.

We're waiting for my brother to arrive from Manchester, it's a long journey so not really expecting him till late afternoon - time to put my feet up for a bit. Managed to tidy his room and change the sheets then felt a bit feeble so having a coffee and some chocolate to increase my energy levels.

I always enjoy rose wine @tui34, is there any left for me!

    Enjoy your Sunday folks.

today's view from the office window.
I wonder if there's a neighbouring village called great comfort.

Hugs to @punkdoc and to Mr Dove

The next village will be Middle Comfort, I should think. Cold Comfort will be up the hill.

Hope Pdoc is feeling a little brighter, Mr Dove gets the results he's hoping for and everyone who likes tennis is enjoying it. I'll just be glad it's over  :) Don't like that bloke, I'll be glad for him to be off the TV.

Busy week ahead because I have two weeks off from next week. Looking forward to a rest, although the weather's not looking stellar. Ho hum

Hope Punkdoc is asleep and getting the rest he craves.

Exciting men's finals - so off to watch it (just back from Clay Club).

Easy like Sunday afternoon (or something).

Hi folks, sorry for the absence.  I have been really busy.  Lots of nanna duties as its the end of term and First/Secondborn are both run off their feet with proms, trips and exam marking.  I have also been away on an art break for 5 days which was lovely.  First time I have spent time painting outdoor and I really enjoyed it.
Apologies for not reading back.  Hope you are all well.

Well … we had a similar experience to you @didyw … OH’s X-ray appointment was for 4:50 … he was back in the car before 5:00 and the tennis match hasn’t moved on very far … did you hide their balls for me @punkdoc?
