    Good morning Forkers!

The sky is clear and bright and there's a breeze - the humidity and overcast sky have disappeared.

Yes @coccinella the aches and pains in my back have gone with the night's rest but my hip is giving me gip!!  I'm hoping the infiltration will give me some relief - due in September but am not sure.  Until then - it's grin and bear it.

Well!  @D0rdogne_Damsel  the season has you in its grips!  Glad to see that you are in your new home - will you have time to prepare Charlie's room or will you leave that to his discretion?

A drive WILL do you good @punkdoc  Just getting out of the house will be beneficial.  A couple of photos?

Today is St Margaret - so a shout to all the Margarets on this site......but....

S'il pleut à la Sainte Marguerite, les noix seront gâtées bien vite.  So get those nuts in!!!

    Morning all.

@Dovefromabove that is exactly what the Physio told OH after his op! But maybe @punkdoc could do it in a few days time when he should feel a bit less fragile.

@D0rdogne_Damsel I hope when you have settled in and manage to get a bit of time to arrange your new home how you want it and Charlie has been to stay you will feel better about everything.

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs @coccinella! I'm sure it will be, it sounds as though you have an ideal relationship.

We arrived back at my French home yesterday afternoon, having stopped at the SM on the way. CB had mown, strimmed, watered most of it and cut the hedge. I have picked a huge cucumber, a tomato and a courgette. The beans haven't all germinated but the ones there are have flowers and some small beans. The sweet corn is tall. The brassicas are a bit of a failure and the spinach beet is pathetic. The butternut plants are all over the place, very vigorous. A lot of weeding needs to be done in the orchard fence bed with yellow roses and blue perennials. The Jewel Bed looks lovely, very floriferous but masses of dead heading needs doing.

The house is fine but there are lots of those tiny round spiders with long legs.

Glad you are back safe and sound @Busy-Lizzie and it looks as if you are about to spend some happy hours sorting the garden out.

    Congratulations @coccinella!

Hope the trip out is doing you some good @punkdoc and you were able to get into the car OK, with @Dovefromabove's advice.

And hope waking up in your new home was fine @D0rdogne_Damsel.  The first day we were here, in this house, I cried my eyes out because I was still so attached to our previous one.  But I was fine the next day and threw myself into this house and our local community and am so pleased we made the move.  As you make the house your own, and Charlie is in it, you'll learn to love it.  Hard being on your own though so hugs to you.

A house is a building … it becomes a home when it has love in it.

When @D0rdogne_Damsel and Charlie have shared some meals, watched a film together and Charlie has made his room his own, DD will find happiness is creeping up on her 🤗

Back from dentist son. OH has had impressions taken for his implants.

This morning I weeded the orchard fence bed with the yellow roses. This afternoon I washed the outdoor sofa and chairs and swept the lower patio. OH washed the outdoor chairs and table and dead headed in the Jewel bed.

    Cooking dinner. We'll eat outside.
