Looks like you have been very busy @Dovefromabove.  Back to the farm shop for you for the meat - before you relinquish your car!

Rain here now.  Hope it doesn't last as I need to get up into town to distribute some festival programmes around the shops!

My summerhouse that came with the house is past it’s sell by date. No one can repair it in Hampshire. The original supply company does not sell spare wooden panels. If you have one just installed can anyone suggest a good company to buy from as prices on my search engine range from very cheap to very expensive looking for something 10ft*8ft. Thanks.

We’ve just had a summerhouse installed by uk garden buildings.  They’re based in Staffs but think they do travel.  We ordered via a local company in Wales.

Cooking almost done. I am now sitting with half a glass of red, a rare thing. 7 people and a dog will arrive at 6. I think I need a shower before I greet them 😁

Afternoon folks, rather bored unfortunately, sitting in our hotel bedroom in the dark whilst OH is enjoying a snooze after a swim. Although I didn't sleep much last night, I still couldn't snooze, really annoying. Fairly heavy rain here so activities have been curtailed somewhat. Tonight's meal is a buffet in an opensided barn on a farm, think I'm a bit dubious about that although we have wellies in our car.

Strangely, although the room was cleaned this morning, they've taken my damp bath towel away and not replaced it but have left OH's. Weird, they could see that there is two people in the room.

Oh good, OH has woken up and we can have tea.

    Afternoon folks.

It has been raining all day here. I’ve done some house jobs and just had a chill listening to my mindfulness homework before I commence the curry for tonight.

Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream is one of life’s delights! You must treat yourself @Dovefromabove! We rarely have a pudding these days but if I was asked to choose one then STP is in my top three (apple crumble and bread and butter pudding being the other two, and specifically MY crumble and my MIL’s bread and butter pud).

    Have a good weekend all.

Good heavens @Dovefromabove! You haven't had sticky toffee pudding! I agree with @AuntyRach, one of life's delights. Most pubs in Norfolk do it and Morrisons do a good one. We eat vegetables, chicken and fish mostly, OH doesn't like offal, pork hocks, cheeks, trotters etc, but he does like Cottage Pie and spaghetti Bolognaise.

My fridge was full when the family arrived, nearly empty already. I made a loaf and heated up a baguette from the freezer. Daughter said it wasn't enough for lunch so we went to the baker and bought 2 more baguettes and a large grainy loaf. It's all gone. Teenage boys eat an enormous amount. I have 8 croissants and 8 pain au chocolats and a pain de mie (ordinary soft white loaf) for breakfast, I hope it's enough. When I gave a dinner party 6 chicken thighs in a wine and mushroom sauce were enough for 6 of us. I did 12 chicken thighs for 7 of us tonight and it's all gone.

We went to a lake and the boys swam and went on canoes. OH and I sat in a lakeside café and had coffee and read our books. It has been a warm day, about 27C.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
it may seem surprising @Busy-Lizzie … but I don’t really have much of a sweet tooth … I tend to only have a dessert when eating out and there’s usually something lighter on the menu I fancy more, a panna cotta or a mousse of some sort  … or I love a simple Île flottante …. and if the cheese board looks interesting I’ll often choose that.
Hurrah! The coffee maker is awake … we’ll have a look at Artle …
