    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
I hope we’ve all had a restful night, that the poorly ones are mending and not too uncomfortable, and that there are no more mishaps 🤞
We’ve woken to a bright sunny morning … and coffee is on its way 😊

Morning all. Don't get much time to pop in here! A friend of over 30 years was telling me she was bored. Her hubby has been ill with various things over the past 5 years. They have moved quite a lot over the years I have known them, quite big distances, several hundred miles last time, and unfortunately never happy. She is talking about a flat now, because he can't help with the garden, and she often finds it too much. Her kids aren't nearby. They do go away a lot, she often says she's bored. Last holiday we had was 14 years ago,not interested, good Job,no cash for such things. Took the grandkids to Margate for 2 nights last year (lucky devils are staying in Sandbanks with other grandparents this week) yes, sorry about the "raindancing" I have stopped now.

Morning all, many thanks for all your good wishes, it's so heartwarming when you're not well to know others are thinking of you.
After a very long 8 hour wait in A & E, we got back home at 10 pm, absolutely exhausted. Isn't it so noisy in A & E? Staff were brilliant, organisation not so much. Ambulance turned up quicker than expected with two young men who looked the same age as my grandson and they were very kind. That meant we missed lunch (and later dinner) so one of the nurses kindly gave me a sandwich and a cup of tea at 4 ish - we were both hungry so we shared it. Dr wanted me to have a CT scan rather than an Xray but the radiographers were out on strike so that was a 2 hour wait. Funny thing is that the scan revealed precisely nothing, no broken ribs, no bruising, no internal lacerations, medics were stumped so I've got to go back for another  scan at 9 am tomorrow - on my birthday!  They did apologise but needs must so I don't mind. Pain is bad today so bit worrying. Might have another codeine soon.

The good news is that OH has just walked through the door with an enormous Apple and Cinnamon Danish as a treat! Do excuse me folks whilst I indulge.

    Good afternoon everyone!

The weather has cooled down somewhat during the night and mornings.  Afternoons are hot but not a searing heat.  That is to return for the weekend.  Unfortunately, it's rather windy, so the task of sweeping is still waiting to be done.

@Lizzie27  That is a worry not knowing what is causing the pain.  I expect you enjoyed the Apple and Cinnamon Danish - mmmm.....

Enjoy the rest of the day folks.

    Hi all.

Sorry you are in the wars, @Lizzie27.
Sunny day here for a change so have managed a gentle stroll in the garden.

It rained at lunchtime then the sun came out. I've planted the parsley, basil and mint that I bought at the GC this morning in pots and I did some weeding in the veg garden and planted some broccoli, Brussels Sprouts and lettuce plants. My lettuces had bolted. I have started harvesting tomatoes, courgettes and cucumbers and the runner beans are almost ready. The sweetcorn all fell over in the night, it's grown tall and a bit spindly because it wasn't wasn't enough when I was away and I've planted it a bit too close together. Maybe there was wind in the night. I've made a framework of canes and string to support it all.

I’ve been AWOL for a couple of days and haven’t read back yet. Best wishes to everyone.

Glued to TV watching La Tour final stages, then the femmes starting their turns. Three stages so far.

It’s bloomin freezing here this morning. Minus 8.6c.

I finished another pair of long fingerless gloves and sent them to my sister at Ulladulla. She rang to say they’d arrived and was very impressed with them and I told her that we wear them to bed to stop our sleeves sliding up though the night. 😁, The next morning she rang to say she’d had the best night’s sleep ever. So snuggly warm.   I’m feeling very pleased that my experiment helped her. (She’s not a good sleeper).
    She’s 88.

    Good morning all!

Beautiful morning - 21°C - sunny and NO wind!!

Hairdresser this afternoon.  Some feeble attempt at gardening this morning - but a lot of sweeping is due!!

How is the pain @punkdoc - I had it too.  For months.  Couldn't lift my leg, sitting or standing for a long time.   I was wondering how @Busy-Lizzie and @Floralies are coping with their surgery.

Today is an unusual feast day:  The 7 saints.  Maximen, Malchus, Marcien, Denys, Jean, Sérapion known as Les Septs Dormants d'Ephèse.  Also recognised by the muslim community,  and a procession to reunite the two religions (Christian and Muslim)
takes place towards La Chapelle des Sept Saints in the hamlet of the Vieux Marché on the Côtes d'Amor.
Pour leur fête souvent, les Sept Dormants redressent le temps.

I hope everyone is having a sunny day!

Morning, you should have given me a buzz Dove. Wanted to wish Lizzie27,a Happy birthday,is it 28,now! Well Phillipa Drew said rain overnight here,it's bucketing down! Got my scan (hence why I was awake!!) Set the alarm clock for 7,woke up with a start(blood pressure through the roof!) It stopped at midnight! Have a big list of what not to wear, obviously aware of the metal, but instructions say among other things,,no patterned clothing. Had settled on a green t shirt dress (boys, look away) leaving off the bra. I only possess Sandals, which I was going to wear, trainers, boots. I don't have "shoes". See you later 😷
