Afternoon everybody, busy day here so I'm a bit tired now. Brother staying an extra night and wants to take us out for dinner which is a blessing. Had a GP's text which asked me to get a urine sample to the GP's asap which was a bit alarming. We organised that and then my friend picked me up for coffee and cake at a very nice local cafe/farm shop we haven't visited before. They also sold plants at reasonable prices so we'll go back. My friend took me back home because I'd got a hopefully new gardener coming to look at the garden, which she did and that all's arranged which is good news.

My brother went out and has come back with a DA rose for my birthday next week which was very sweet of him - I've just got to find a space to plant it!

Surgery's just phoned to say no infection found - phew but to stay well hydrated whilst we're away.

I've yet to iron and pack but we're not in a hurry thank goodness.

Memo to self - must slow down!  I'm still waiting for this so-called 'steroid high' to kick in.

    Good evening all.

3 hours in my garden this morning as it was a tad cooler (23°C) and windy.  Dug over an autumn plot in the shade and sowed and netted pak choy, spinach, black and white and Chinese pink radish, carrots and .... something else.  Prepared a spot for winter brassica to be planted next month.  Obviously spent the afternoon on the couch licking my wounds.  All joints and back stiff, but glad to get some work done.

You'll be home now @Busy-Lizzie  best place to be.  Thinking of you @coccinella !!  @punkdoc - don't bust the stitches laughing.  Good medicine though!!  @Lizzie27  good news.  @Dovefromabove   things have seemed to have come on in a rush.  Poor you.  No handyman in sight?

Inside now with a glass of red and a series of something on TV.  Bed isn't far away I think.  I've had a very good day getting stuff "done".

    Enjoy your evening everyone

    Just a quick hello.

Glad to see @punkdoc survived. 😁

Thanks for kind words and encouragement, it helps.

I am struggling a lot with stuff, finding everything so difficult, over worked, over tired, impatient to get my life on track, feeling very lonely too, which is bizarre because I'm surrounded by people all day.... Anyway, ever onwards, hopefully this awful sense of being completely overwhelmed with everything will pass soon.

So, best wishes to you all, I will try and keep up, but hard to find time to just sit and browse on the computer.

Spending my first night in the new house tonight, a bit scared to be honest, a bit daunting, found a bat in the kitchen twice this week, I'm hoping it won't come back tonight. I've scrubbed everything and blocked all obvious holes. 🤞 New bed being delivered tomorrow and I'm going to treat myself to some new bedding to make it feel a bit homely. Charlie away so I suppose that's making me more unsettled.

Apologies for being miserable, I do really need to pull myself together.

    Good evening all.

And from me @D0rdogne_Damsel, hope you have a good night in your new house.
You'll feel much better in the morning now you have at last got your very own home.
Try to find time for a bit of a shopping spree of little homely thingies, things you enjoy, fresh flowers, candles, as you say, new bed linen - and the French are famously good at those.

    Enjoy!

Hi Pat. That is cold! Coffee? A bread stick?
Not for me though, awake at stupid hour and should not handle electronic devices which wake me up even more. But nice to see a message from @D0rdogne_Damsel. You know it will get better, buy yourself some flowers until you get the time to shop for the house. Meanwhile here's a 💐 from me.
Sorry about everything breaking at the wrong time @Dovefromabove , it does happen unfortunately. How is OH' s toe?
You work hard @tui34! Hope the aches have gone.

    Congratulations, @coccinella, don’t forget he’s a lucky boy too.

Ive been wake too much again too, but hoping a drive and a change of scene might help.

Love to @D0rdogne_Damsel, it will get so much better in your own place, somewhere safe for you and Charlie.

    Good morning all  :) ☕️
It’s a beautiful morning here in Norfolk …

Sounds like a change of scenery might be just the thing @punkdoc 😊

I’m certainly hoping so @Dovefromabove, although getting into the car might prove difficult. We are blessed with so much beautiful scenery within a few minutes of home.

Hope Rob is still comfortable after his surgery. I always think toenails look so painful.
