Possibly @tui34 … but perhaps I could ‘go private’ and make some money out of it 😉 Think of all the plants I could buy next year for my neglected garden 🪴

    🤣

Just please nobody tell Moira about Dove’s Convalescent & Rehab Services … @WonkyWomble  thinks if @punkdoc doesn’t behave himself she’ll be putting him on the direct train from Sheffield to Norwich 😱

Tui, we still haven’t had rain (for weeks). This is one of our dams last week- it’s just below the house where next door’s sheep were bivouacking.

Todays clouds had me crossing my fingers , but they disappeared.

    As Punkdoc says, aaaggghhh!

Oh dear @Pat E that's not looking good. After our earlier long hot/no rain spell here in the UK our large pond/small lake dried up, so much so that until recently we, and the dogs, have been able to walk all over it. One of my mini horses who roams freely round the farm has also been trampling in it stuffing his face on all the grass and weeds! I think he is going to have a bit of a shock if he tries it today as it is fast filling up again.

Hope you got at least some sleep @punkdoc, deep breath, it will get easier.

Good luck with the hospital visit today Dove, sounds a bit of an ouch for poor OH.

Safe journey home @Busy-Lizzie, take it steady with all this rain about. Hope the crossing is smooth for you.

Daughter and G/son off to hospital dentist this morning for a check up on G/son's braces so a quiet morning for me, but with all the rain forecast (already arrived) I think I will just be pottering around indoors.

Morning all, a cloudy day's start here, hope it doesn't rain again. Yesterday was really nice, stayed dry and warm all day. Hope you get rain soon @Pat E.

Hope Punkdoc managed to get back to sleep.

You're a star @Dovefromabove, it's good you won't have that long drive to Broomfield for a couple of months. I'm amazed how well Rob is doing, all credit to his mother and sister!

The GP rang me back for a quick check up to see how I'm doing and is pleased with my progress, although apparently I should have been taking the 3 steroid tablets in one go with breakfast, instead of spread out throughout the day. I've checked the box and it just says 3 daily with food so I rather assumed at 3 mealtimes. Oops.

@Busy-Lizzie, hope you have a good ferry journey to France and that the weather is bearable.

We're off later with my brother to see my niece and her family again in their rented house, they've come over from New Zealand for their son's graduation. We don't see them often so looking forward to that, they're a lovely family and we all get on so well.

On ferry, sea looks calm, sunny, see you  in France. Switching off phone.

@Lizzie27 my son drove himself to Broomfield yesterday … I stayed at home and did some embroidery … his courage and determination really is amazing. The OTs at the clinic yesterday said so … officially!

I may never have to do that drive again 🤞
