Beautiful hydrangea LB. I would love to have one, and we still use old name, hortensia.
Most of things on my mind are not worrying, thank you for concern.ย

That is a relief Ante Yes they are known as hortensia here too. I have to confess to getting an addiction to them. I am signing out for today people. Enjoy your evenings what ever you have planned.

We enjoyed the show but I did find the crowds of people rather overwhelming. We were in the floral marquee when there was a sudden downpour. Everyone was looking for shelter, there wasn't much, so suddenly the marquee got very crowded. The rain didn't last long though. I have written more about it on my thread.

We stayed in a guest house in New Malden, cheap, but nice hosts and very clean. I slept very badly though, it was a winter duvet, too hot. Eventually I took the cover off and just used that. We had a lovely meal in a Lebanese restaurant, huge prawns, spicy veg for OH and salad for me. I had a delicious pud, a sort of coconut cake, moist and juicy with orange water. The waiters were very friendly and the chef came out and chatted with us. This morning we looked at the house I used to live in in New Malden, before Kent. We bought it for ยฃ24000 in 1973, worth nearly a million now! 5 minutes walk to the station, 20 mins to Waterloo. The traffic getting out of London was pretty awful again.

Went to the SM this afternoon.

    Good morning everyone.
Busy, I've just had a look at your pictures. I am green with envy! I, like you, would have felt very claustrophobic with the crowds of people around. I remember one rainy day when I was at Tatton and everyone rushed into the Floral Marquee. The temperature with all of those people collected inside rapidly rose to being unbearably warm and there seemed to be a lack of oxygen - it was not a pleasant experience.
Going out for lunch today with my Quiz team friends. I'm being picked up which is nice.

Horrific news on TV this morning about that little 8 year old girl being killed at her school. So very distressing. My thoughts are with her family, friends and her school community.

    Morning all.
Sky chap coming out today so stuck in all afternoon waiting for him. The wind is quite high today from the look of all the petals on the lawn and scattered in the borders. Just had a chat with NDN, he said he is getting a new driveway put down a week on Monday and I mentioned if they would be okay with parking ( we are in a cul de sac and we are situated on the corner) and he remarked, " dunno, we're going away for the week!".... lovely.ย

Have a good lunch and natter today LB. Haven't caught up with son and family yet as they only got back in the very early hours of Wednesday morning ( 5.30am) , slept that day and son back at work today. Will see them all soon though.

ย Busy, I've looked at your pics too, great, but I wouldn't have done too well in those crowds either.

Ante, thought you'd be working away hard, I know what you mean with having many things on your mind.

    Dreadful day.

Mum has taken a fall and the last I heard she was being taken to hospital for blood tests. If they keep her in she probably won't return home now.

Sky man came, did all the work and then discovered that our broadband speed is so slow( we could have told him that if he'd asked) and wouldn't accept the upgrade. I feel like we live in the sticks. All this new technology and we can't access it. He left us with the new viewing card ( should have put the old card back in) which we only discovered hours later and then a long phone call ensued ( nearly an hour) before the chap paired up the old sky box with new viewing card.

Garden ย looks dreadful with some plants well over -growing the space available.

But Good news.....our son went for a promotion interview this morning and was successful!๐Ÿ‘ Marvellous.ย

    We feel emotionally shredded......
