Good morning all. Sunny here. Got some of my children coming for lunch so need to pop out to buy strawberries but planning a couple more hours in the garden first. Lovely day yesterday very interesting to see the allotment again.
Good morning everyone . It my OH 80th birthday today .We are planning celebrating at home because he is not well enough to travel .We have lots of gifts for him including some bubbly and a cake .This evening we are planning to order in from a restaurant .He loves spicy food and Chinese food is one of his favourites .Hoping to spend some time in the garden today . Enjoy your Sunday folks .xxx
Good morning folks. It’s a bit brighter today, but still blustery. However, not as strong as yesterday, so just might be able to make a start on the hedge @Ladybird4. It’s not as big a job as a few weeks ago, but nevertheless, after all this warmth and damp, it’s thrown out quite a few straggly branches that need dealing with before it really does get out of hand. Plus, it’s green bin week this week, so it makes sense to try to get it done. We went to the GC yesterday to buy a couple more supports for some of the plants as the wind wasn’t doing them any favours at all, so they’ll go in today, too. Happy birthday to your OH @Rubee 🎂🎉🍾. I hope he enjoys his day and his Chinese meal this evening.
Hope your OH enjoys his big day @Rubee. I love Chinese food as well.
I've just watched Beechgrove and have to say how much I enjoy the contributions of the head gardener, Scott. I'm now an expert on pruning and soil type identification I'm planning a GC visit on Tuesday (on the way to youngest's garden) so will be looking for a kit (amongst other things )
Sunny, on and off this morning plus very windy. I have tackled tidying the shed today, I was beginning to think I would have to go into training to make my way through the obstacle course that was the inside😂 I've put our bikes back into their summer home, th garage and had a good clean out and clean up. Then the heavens opened.... I've also hung some bird food in the Rowan tree to try and lure some birds back into the garden. They've disappeared since next door more than halved his conifer hedge. But, I don't want the mice to come visiting again😱 Good luck to those who have their hedges to prune/cut.
Good afternoon all. I decided that I could risk putting Lily's TV on as it was nice and breezy. Halfway through the programme the bit of sunshine disappeared and it went all dull again. Think I'll still risk putting wet cloth things out.
Debs were you happy to see your allotment again?

Sun is out here but doesn't look like we'll get a full day of gardening weather.
I haven't mowed the front lawn for a bit @Ladybird4 - might have to get that chap in
