  • Morning all my mixed seed loaf has just finished baking.  The kitchen smells lovely.  Another night where I’ll need to catch sixty winks in the day.  Hope you’re sleeping soundly.

Good morning Rosie, LB and all to follow.

Hope you managed go to sleep last night Rosie. Smell of freshly baked bread is just so comforting, lucky you, and it was well after midnight. 😊

Last three days we have very rough weather. Monday night was especially bad with heavy rain and high wind. We never had so much rain and almost every river are overflowed. Don't worry, I'm ok, but very frustrated because I can't work outside, and everything is waiting.
Now, enough with complaining, hope you are all well. I'm in the school and waiting for the first class.

Wish you all a lovely day.

    Morning all.

I did more weeding, sowing and planting in the vegetable garden yesterday. No gardening today as Daughter 1 and family are coming to stay a night tomorrow. They have only been here twice in 2 years, both times in January, last time in 2022.

I'm taking OH to the dentist, who is Son 2, this afternoon. He's going to have 4 implants. I'll go to the local SM, Leclerc, while he's with Son.

Good morning .Ante I do hope you get some good gardening weather soon .It’s so annoying when you can’t get on with your planting etc .LB I hope your back continues to recover .
Busy it’s so good that you have a dentist in the family . We have a friend who is a dentist but unfortunately for us he is living back in Sarawak. Just a smidgen too far to travel for treatment .🤣🤓.

Good morning. Sat having a cup of tea, sat outside in the lovely sun. Sorry @Ante1, I do sympathise with you regarding your awful weather ( we've had our fair share, as it was) and this day won't last long, so trying to enjoy it as long as possible. Tomorrow, it will be wet and windy again.
OH has had to pop to the famous DIY store again as he wants some different hinges and then he will start his next project.

@Rubee , how are you OH's legs doing? Are they responding to the antibiotics?

@Busy-Lizzie , can I ask you if roses take longer to push out some growth ( at this time of year) when they're in a pot? Mine seems to be very slow but it's looking ok.Maybe because it's a new rose? How good to have a dentist in the family.....does he give you mates rates!?

I found our first aphids yesterday, on one out of three Knautia Macedonica's, aquilegia and, believe it or not, on one growing tip of our Rowan tree. Didn't think they attacked trees.

@Songbird-2 all of my roses are in pots covered in buds but no open flowers yet. I do think it’s down to the colder weather we have had this year.

There are no open roses in the vicinity even those in the ground. Let’s hope this means they will be open for longer this year.

I have very few roses out yet in SW France @Songbird-2 and they are usually earlier here than in the UK. Having said that, some of the roses in the village are out.

We get family rates from our dentist  :D

Hazel we think the antibiotics are continuing to work.OH pain levels are still high.
He is going to the nurses hub this afternoon . We are hoping that they tell him the antibiotics have done their job . The condition is chronic we just hope to keep it under control.

Thanks Debs and Busy for info. Our rose doesn't even have any buds yet😢 but, because it is looking really good on the leaves, I will persevere a bit longer with it.
