    Good morning all.

The family have all left for work and school. We are having coffee in bed and will drive home to Dordogne this morning, via Leclerc SM.

It should be 21C and sunny this afternoon. I may make a start on the vegetable garden. I wonder how tall the weeds are.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning Busy - I reckon you could be knee deep in weeds. Bet you can't wait to get stuck in.
Enough said Biglad. Will you have to finish this latest 'job' before packing it in? Have you made that decision as yet?

Good morning all, managed a day in the garden after a cloudy start. Overcast here again today so off out for some retail therapy then out for a curry tonight with sister and BIL, he is also a chef so he and fiancé can reminisce about the good old days.
Fiancé is much happier he will be taking the new job after our holiday and is considering a 4 day week. It’s 48 hours a week he can easily do that in 4 days and it means more nights in his own bed.
Looks like everyone has this rather depressing weather I really want sunshine and blue skies soon. This is what happens when everyone tells you it’s time to “garden for drought”
Hope you all have a good Tuesday

    Morning Debs and Ruby.
Debs, I am sure that your fiancé will feel as if a weight has been lifted from his shoulders now that he has made the decision and well done to him! I'm with you in longing for a bit of sustained sunshine so that the plants in the garden will not be plastering my legs with rain drops every time I walk down my path.
Ruby, I am being really careful at the moment and not trying to do things that I could do when I was really 27!

Morning all. Bit chilly outside but not too bad.
I am going to try and start some deep cl**n**g today in readiness for the new windows coming next week. Can't have them thinking I'm a mucky woman! I must take some curtains to a dry cleaning place but doubt there are any now. Will have to scour the internet for local places.
Having my booster jab on Sunday and a hair cut on Friday ( thank goodness) , voting ( spellcheck changed that to " boring", don't know which is more apt!) day and the Coronation.......busy week.
Have a good day everyone whatever you do.
  • Back from sm, dragged it back, unpacked and had a lovely cup of tea, phew.  Resting on the bed with paws.  Trying Alfie on some come cat indoors apparently it has fibres for digestion so hope that does the trick, they were out of his favourite food.   Hazel I know what you mean I’ve earlier cleaned the cooker and the kitchen floor and keeping his nibs out of there.

I'm back in my French home. The garden is more advanced than in Norfolk. I'm so glad I weeded and mulched it before we left because it's really not too bad. Parts of the veg garden are thick with weeds but the flower beds just need a bit of weeding.

We went to the SM this afternoon and did the weekly shop. We may go to the market on Friday in the local town.
