  • Morning everyone.  I had some toast for breakfast and a welcome cup of tea.  LB I get snails in my watering can too.  It’s quite cool.

Good morning Rosie and all to follow.

Rosie, I'll join you with cup of tea. Snails 😡, here is invasion of them, all sizes and shapes. It must be because of lot of rain.

I have an early start today. After school must go to shopping and GC. It will be nice change. It's raining, of course, and yesterday we came completely wet from walk. In my front garden sage and irises are in bloom, and it's all purple and fragrance. Now, only rain must stop, and I'll gather sage flowers for syrup and liqueur.

My dear ladies, wish you all nice day, and see you later.

Good morning Rosie, Ante and later arrivals.
Rosie, how did Alfie like his change of diet?
Ante, such beautiful pictures to start off the morning. I absolutely LOVE your big terracotta pots - I have serious pot envy!

Good morning all sunny here because I am back to work. Fiancé has promised to spend a day at his moms, lots of little jobs she needs doing and they will probably go out for lunch.
@Songbird-2 I have the plants for the baskets but we are away next week for fiancé’s birthday so will do them when we get back. The plants are easier to water while I am away if left in deep trays.
I do have two baskets done already for an inaccessible area, I have planted up thyme and catmint and dwarf lavender as they are low maintenance and much loved by the bees. I may push in some nasturtium seeds too, one called milkmaid should fit the bill.
Shopping yesterday was a bit of a nightmare, I have always been skinny but age and chocolate have caught up with me and these days I am a 14-16 and clothes I like don’t suit me, I struggle to find pretty tops, and the prices! Nearly £40 for a blouse! Think how many plants I could buy with that.
I did get a really sweet bird feeder and two new hanging baskets in a gorgeous shade of lavender plus some scented candles. That’s my type of shopping.

    Morning all.

I know what you mean about age and chocolate @debs64! I was size 12 for years, now I'm size 16.

It will be a lovely day today, sunny, low 20s this afternoon. I have lots of gardening to do.

Morning all. Quick pop-in as there are so many jobs to be done including 3 weeks worth of Lily's TV (on the 3rd batch of 7 at the moment), trip to Sainsbugs, various admin tasks and some phone calls. Hoping I might be able to get outside to cut the grass tomorrow.

The garden's not looking too bad (I did a lot of weeding and trimming before we wen away) and seems to have moved on a month in the 2 weeks we were away. There is still some crab apple blossom but I've missed the initial spectacular flushes which is a shame. Some of the roses have buds on and some of the empty spaces have filled out a bit. Think I might still need to go and flex my credit card to buy some new babies though - probably next week.

I'm another one in the middle aged spread department. Fortunately I've never been one for smart cocktail dresses and tight blouses and practical, outdoor, technical clothing is often a much more forgiving fit. I live in the stuff.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Hi all.Missed  posting this morning as we were up and out and about. Came home and have both been in the garden, OH has cut both lawns again( gosh, they were so long), I've had Lily's TV on again and have all materials dried now.

I noticed on my medical records, that 11 years ago, I was 160cm tall. Now, it's 157.3cm .Eek! 😬 I'm fading away, fadi......aw...a...🤭😂

Good afternoon everyone. I've had a pleasant day - not overdoing things. Back is much inmproved but not quite there yet.
I have been stunned by all the flowering cherries around me at the moment. It is such a shame that they don't last too long. The ground looks like it is covered in pink snow. My lilac buds are just beginning to open and the bird cherry is a little bit behind the lilac in development. I cannot wait for its 'show' because the scent is absolutely intoxicating and fills the whole of my drive.
Welcome home T'Bird, isn't it always the case that arrival back from a holiday entails a whole load of work? I'm similar to you T'Bird. You can never have too many pairs of jeans in my opinion. I wear joggers to garden in and refer to those as my 'gardening scruff'. I have not worn a dress for over 7 years. I am far more comfortable in jeans.
Debs, I love the sound of your lavender hanging baskets. What is your bird feeder like?
Busy, I can imagine you getting stuck into your garden now. You will be living up to your name again.
Woo hoo Hazel, batten down the hatches the human dynamo is about to descend.
