    Morning all (from the CA),

Thought I'd finished work for the week at 6pm yesterday, stepped away from my desk and my phone pings. Asked if I'd done a particular task. I hadn't because that same person had earlier told me to stop doing it to prioritise something else. Back to my desk for a couple more hours then! That joy was added to by said person constantly pinging messages that briefly appear on the screen obscuring the work I'm doing and breaking the concentration. Think about a long car journey with a bored child kicking the back of your chair and whining, "are we there yet" every 2 minutes :o

Just wish folk would let me get on with it. Been doing this kind of rubbish for over 20 years and flatter myself that I have a vague idea of what I'm doing ;)

Anyway, sun is shining and the weekend is here. Time to walk away from the laptops :D

Morning Biglad. Oh yuk! It must absolutely drive you nuts. I doubt I'd be very good doing that job as I would just switch off the laptop and hoick it through the nearest window! Never mind. Its going to be a nice day today (I think!) so get out in your garden and enjoy!

    Morning all.

This afternoon's forecast rain has been cancelled.

We are going to a flower show in a village about an hour away which is about 5 minutes from where we lived in the 80's when we first moved to France. It's a very pretty village and the flower show has become well known. http://www.floralies-saintjean.fr/ I may buy plants  ;)

    Morning.
Pleasant  all day here so far. We are popping to recycling centre again to get rid of some rubbish ( where  does it all come from?) and then it's time to get out the flat, hot metal thing later on.
Have a good day everyone whatever you do.

    Morning everyone,
it’s very grey and chilly here today, same as yesterday. I don’t think there will be any sunshine breaking through today.
Been pottering about and now it’s almost time for a tea break. Have a good day.

Morning all. Still coolish and overcast here but it's dry so I may try to get out and cut the grass again. It was very long when I did it earlier in the week but looks ready for a tidy up again. Friend is coming round for tea this afternoon so that will be a good chance to sit and not do much at all.

LB - so sorry to hear about all the shenanigans yesterday - not what you needed at all. I didn't realise your back was quite as bad as it is. Thought you'd just tweaked it but sounds as though it's a proper muscle strain. You might find a heat pad and some very gentle stretching exercises help keep you more mobile. Hope you are able to go to your concert but not worth making your back any worse.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    It's crackin' the flags 'ere!

Front lawn has been mowed. Need a break before attempting to do the back.

  • Hazel how sad finding the poor bird.  Enjoy your trip should be interesting.  LB I do hope you get some relief soon.   Hope the Volta roll works.  Hazel interesting that your Dad was a Master builder I’m sure you’ll have had good advice.    Trying to get someone to ring me back to get kitchen floor measured and bring some samples is proving impossible.   Unfortunately I can’t get to the showroom.  I will keep trying I’d like to get it out of the way.  Just cleaned by the washer and generally and removed additional things.  My walk in cupboard is now brimming.  Off for sixty winks.

It certainly is Big Lad .I have had to come in for a drink and a sit down . I have a tiny garden but it is heaving with plants (my fault of course ) it needs a lot of attention . My OH loves clemmies and keeps buying them .They are lovely plants but finding the right spot for them is getting increasingly more difficult. More pots I think . Enjoy the rest of your day folks .

Back from the Floralies. I did buy plants  :D, some perennials, 3 bushy orange zinnias, 3 Isotomas, 5 tomato plants, 3 sweet peppers, 2 courgettes and 2 cucumbers. It was all very pretty and colourful.
