Good morning Rosie and all following. Interesting all the talk of sizes - they have all gone crazy. My other beef (Ante = moan or complaint) aside from the poor sizing, is leg length. 'Short' used to be fine for me but maybe - like Hazel - I have shrunk in the wash! I now have to look for 'Extra Short' and finding those is like looking for a needle in a haystack! I have broken more needles on my sewing machine trying to shorten denim. I guess I might just have to get used to having 'pools' of denim round my trainers. I suppose I could just cut off the excess and go for raggy bottoms!

T'Bird - that is rubbish news about your hob. As you implied, all the maddening stuff happens on a Bank Holiday. I do hope it is not a huge job to replace it - though undoubtedly an expensive one. I am guessing but maybe totally wrong that the hob can simply be lifted out and a replacement just slotted into the space?

Good morning everyone .I have a jacket that I have had for over twenty years ,still fits . If I bought that same size now it wouldn’t fit , I have to buy two sizes bigger. LB trying to shorten jeans is a nightmare .I have to hand sew a little at a time it can be tough on the fingers .TBird I hope you can source a replacement for your hob quickly.
I have a docs appointment this morning .Have a good day folks .
T'bird sorry to hear that your hob doesn't work, at least you have camping stove.
LB, I also have problem with leg length. It's always too short, and when I take number or two number bigger then I have problem with too big waistline.
Finally sunny morning. Still little bit cold for May but never mind. If weather stays like this I might go to cottage and sow some veggies. But school first.
Good morning Ruby and Ante. Ruby, I hope all goes well at the Doc's this morning.I cannot even get to see mine. Tried the other day but the so called MYGP App they are using now is so user unfriendly I gave up trying. I reckon I should just call round.
Ante, I think it is a bit cool here yet. Fingers crossed you get plenty done at the cottage after school.

Morning all. Sun has gone, wind and cold has replaced, as it does. We seem to only have the odd day now, here and there, of a nice day. Ready to wrapup warm when we go to SM and OH wants to go back again, to the little garden place to get another Juniperis Chin. Pyramidalis as he likes them a lot.
Oh @Topbird, that's a b*m*er😢 Just what you don't need when returning from holiday. I can't think of an alternative for you either other than googling it to see some reasons why this could have happened.? I'd be feeling exactly the same. The air would be blue....
Rosie, good to hear Alfie is tucking in to his new food and treats. One less thing to worry about.
Rubee, hope all goes well at the Doctors.
@Ante1, I think we should all be born one height and size. That would solve a lot of problems for us wouldn't it?😂
LB, you could always turn the bottoms of your jeans up over. I've seen quite a few people are doing that again now. In my day, that wasn't a " thing" to be done ,unless you were a cowboy!😂
Hazel my Rosie is much taller than me .She will reach things from upper shelves for me .I was five feet fourand half tall ,now five two. Saw doc . My hearing aids have caused eczema in my ears which has caused swelling and irritation. My script will be ready later this morning .Thanks for asking Hazel .I felt very little pain until the doc put the otoscope in my ear .Some inflammation further in the ear .
Good afternoon all. Had a pleasant time with Bestie. We had plenty of natter and we also looked at the menu of the restaurant where we, plus the rest of the quiz team, are going tomorrow for lunch. I will pick her up en route. Her Mum had sent me 4 cacti cuttings ready to be potted on so I shall do that shortly.
Hazel, not a bad idea about just turning up the bottoms of my jeans to form a cuff. (Sshhh I always wanted to be a cowgirl!)
Ruby, I am glad that you have managed to get some help at the Doc's and hopefully whatever has been prescribed for you will do the job.

Evening all. Ruby hope the medication soon helps. LB how lovely you’ll enjoy a meal out and a good catch up today with bestie. Hope you’re more comfortable. Hazel hope you were warm out today and managed to collect. Topbird I hope you managed to get through your meal and hope a repair is possible. Just had a refreshing tuna mayo and sweetcorn sandwich for tea and a lovely cuppa. Haven’t been out today. Hoping to be up and out early tomorrow.

This is what I did yesterday, weeded (but wasn't too bad) and planted 9 plants in the Orchard Border.
Today I weeded, lots of weeds, hadn't mulched, and planted a fuchsia Riccartonii and a dwarf Ceanothus in the donkey paddock border.
I also dug out the 3 dead pink Amica roses, changed the soil, added compost so it's ready for the 3 pink Emera roses that I've ordered.
Cottage pie is nearly ready.
