Hazel, I was shocked and saddened to read about your great nephew. 22 is no age at all. His family must be completely devastated. He had such a short time here but I am sure he will be long remembered. Deepest condolences. x

Morning all.  I’m washed and dresssed and had some breakfast and the first cup of tea of the morning.  Rather tired.  White rabbits, white rabbits, white rabbits, maybe we’ll soon have spring weather.  Rosie

The first of May already! I am going to visit my friend later. Her OH didn't have his angiogram on Friday as there were many emergencies. He has enjoyed watching the snooker though. Whether he has it today or not depends, I suppose, on the strike situation.

Good morning Rosie, Rubee, LB and all to follow.

Rosie, I also hope that May will bring proper warm Spring.

LB, have a nice time with your friend.

I have my first cup of tea. Outside is sunny, but with high wind, so again nothing of working in the garden. Today is Labour's day, and I always wondered why we celebrate it with no working. 🤔😂

Good morning Ante You are so right. Labour's Day should be called No Work Day! This year it is called Early May Bank Holiday here because we have 3 this month. There is another after next week end to celebrate the Coronation and then we have Spring Bank Holiday on May 29th
At the risk of turning into a boring person it is raining here!

    Morning all.

Hazel, that's so sad about your great nephew. How awful for your family. I remember how it felt when my brother died, just before his 22nd birthday, cancer.

We will spend today with Daughter 1, home tomorrow. Son1 and Daughter 2 leave today. 9 grandchildren here at the moment.

Daughter has a big old farmhouse near Poitiers that they have spent the last 7 years renovating. Her OH is a brilliant handy man, he renovated their last house. She has planted over 100 roses in their garden which will be glorious in a couple of weeks time.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
