Meant to say, all the best LB with getting your ( new) old car back. Hope the repairs are nicely done and that you're happy with it. Good that the curtesy car is being picked up too. Saves a lot of hassle on your part. Excited!??

Hazel, I was beyond excited! Car is back and looking beautiful. I asked the driver if I could give him a big hug and he said 'You sure can!' Duly administered! I did do a silly thing though. I lifted the compost - soil based JI No2 - out of the boot still thinking I'm a mere stripling of 27. Silly me! I ended up with an agonising pain in my right hip so I have taken a couple of paracetamol and am just going to take things easy this afternoon. I'm still waiting for the courtesy car to be picked up but I had parked it out front so my car could be driven up the drive on delivery.

    Morning all.

It's been raining and it looks grey and chilly outside, so different from the lovely sunny morning yesterday in Southwold. OH has gone to the local town to get a few bits and pieces. He was so pleased with his walking progress yesterday that he wants to see if he can manage in his own.

Our Internet has gone. Yesterday the technicians were in holes in the road but we still don't have Internet. The phone had gone too but it's back now. Nuisance because the TV only works with Internet. Glad I have a good Smartphone with 4G. OH's phone doesn't have a signal.

I hope SG Lily is OK, thinking of her.

  • sunny initially then a cold crisp day today, polyfilla arrived and scraper.  LB be careful and rest today.  Lily I hope your voice soon improves, wrap up warm.  Debs I hope your hayfever is soone sorted.  Busy I have a sea salt dress, enjoy wearing yours.  Had some vegetable soup for lunch and a hot cup of tea.  Completed my postal vote, glad they’ve stopped doing labels when there’s a window on the envelope.  Keep warm everyone.

Marvellous LB. So glad she's back home and safely under your charge again!😂 I know how you feel though, it's always nice to have things returned that are ours.
Weve been busy all morning and have just finished getting 23's bedroom ready for him. I'm in a sweat now🥵time to have a rest......

Well courtesy car is gone now and things have returned to normal. It has been a long month in one sense. I wasn't really tempted to drive too far in the courtesy car as I felt a bit cautious with it not being my own. Hip has eased somewhat but it has not completely stopped aching. I do reckon the bits of gardening I've done over the last few decent days has added to the hip ache.

Afternoon folks,  I'm with you LB.  Scarified the lawns yesterday and did some other general gardening.  Have also  been putting together some shelves that required hammering.  Both these jobs have put the back out and the old arthritic wrist is not happy.  Dosed up with pain killers on the sofa.
It's Jonah's 7th birthday today.  He's with his dad today but Secondborn is bringing the boys over tomorrow so I can give him his present and card. He's having a day out with his friends on Sunday.
Great to hear that OH is getting about Busy it must be a relief for both of you.
Hope those seeing grandchildren get lots of hugs and kisses.
    Hugs to SGL too.

Yes Yvie, I feel a right crock today - self inflicted for the most part so I blame myself! I hope that you have a lovely day tomorrow with the family.
I am signing out for today. Looking forward to Beechgrove and GW. See you all tomorrow everyone. Enjoy your evenings.

Hello all. Back from a lovely day with youngest daughter and Thomas. My hay fever is under control and it has stopped raining. Quiet evening planned with a good book before a full day at work tomorrow.

I haven't done much today, bit of weeding, spare bed sheets have been in Lily's TV, bit of walking about with a sucking thing.

Still no Internet. We wanted to attach my phone to the laptop to give us a bigger screen to watch iPlayer. Didn't have the right connection, ordered it from Amazon.
