Good morning Rosie, Ante and all later arrivals.
Rosie, it is very cold here this morning so I will be making sure I am well wrapped up.
Guten Morgen T'Bird & OH. Lovely to hear the news of your German trip. How long are you both away for? I would love the Bauhaus Museum. I remember visiting Dachau on one of our holidays and experienced similar feelings - horrendous. We did have a bit of a debate as to whether we should visit or not. Decided that as we were so near (en route to Austria) we would go. It was such a lot to get your head round but all in all we were glad we visited to pay respects to those who had lost their lives.

Busy, is it just a check up on his recent op. that your OH is seeing the surgeon about?
Time for tea and cereals now. Pleased to report that I think there is a slight improvement in my back and hip but I will still remain cautious for a while.

Good morning all, up early as just taken delivery of our new garden swing seat. It’s lovely, very charming young Eastern European lad delivered and assembled it, wouldn’t stop for a coffee but we gave him a tip because he was so quick and efficient.
Fiancé home early yesterday very stressed and exhausted. I think this will be the end of this job they are asking too much. Shame because it’s a lovely place and with the right staff it could work but 15 hour days are not good for him.
Raining here but dry weather forecast so hoping for time in the garden.

Morning all. Raining now and rained overnight, preparing itself for the heavy frost we are predicted to get tonight. Will have to put some cloches over some plants, some others will go in the greenhouse.
Ante, hope school goes okay for you.
Debs, what a shame for your fiancée ,good job but the hours are rubbish. That's not good at all. Health is more important though so if he has give it up, I am sure he would get another one soon enough. He seems like a really good hard worker and enthusiastic too. Good luck to him.

Good morning Debs. Your garden swing sounds great - I can see you making a lot  of use of that this summer. I have to say that I have had a few deliveries with very pleasant drivers and it really makes a difference to your day.
I feel so sorry for your fiancé but his physical and mental health is very much at risk if he stays somewhere where he is exhausted at the end of a ridiculously long day. As you mentioned a lot earlier, with his skill he can get a job reasonably quickly, so I would say, 'seize the day and look after yourself'!
I have had a gentle day so far - I've made a chicken tikka masala for my lunch (cheat's version with a jar of sauce ), watered my indoor plants that needed it and packed away some clean, dry plant pots that I washed yesterday.
Oh my goodness, I have just heard the sad news that Len Goodman has passed away. RIP. I liked him so much on Strictly.

Good morning Hazel, you weren't there when I was typing my post. Have you recovered from your border digging yesterday? I am waiting for my back to recover before I try anything so energetic.

We are in the orthopaedics waiting room, just seen on their TV about Len Goodman dying. He was always my favourite judge on Strictly.

Back from the hospital, all fine, next appointment in 1 year. Physio appointment tomorrow.

BT Open Reach are here. They've drilled a hole in the sitting room wall and have been up ladders with cables.
