Good morning all. Frosty here but beautiful blue skies and sunshine. Planning a day going to garden centrefor hanging basket plants and a different one for some ericaceous compost with John innes 3 for two gorgeous rhododendrons I bought last week. The second one has a lovely little cafe so lunch is planned.
You are all very technical with your broadband speed knowledge no idea what mine is or the difference between upload and download speeds.
Morning all. It was a cold night but no frost this morning. Will have to uncover all the plants as the sun is shining.
Re the scissors. Rosie ,you're right, we were unwrapping some delivery parcel( not in porch, we don't have one) and LB,you were right, they were being used to get into the parcel.
Last night, I was still puzzled so OH said he would check his folder that he had been working on at the time the parcel came. He said he had checked it though previously.
Guess what? Yup, there they were, lodged in between 2 pages in there.🙄 At least that's that mystery solved....and as we were going out this morning we said we'd pick up a new pair.
Been out and came back with three a metal decorative panels, ( instead of trellis) in varying sizes. Since then, I've been potting on a rather large delphinium into a tall deep planter and all that that brings with it. I'm bushed now so having a rest. Still coolish here but the sun is shining.m
Here is one more grey, rainy and chilly day. More like late autumn. I'm finished for today and now can have lazy rest of the day. Even Max didn't like todays walk. I lit a furnace just a bit, and he is sleeping in front of it.
Hazel, I am pleased that the errant scissors turned up. Your decorative panels sound very nice - are they ones you can push into the ground or do they need to be fastened to some sort of an upright?
I managed to get Lily's TV on today and got everything dried and put away but boy has it been cold.
Sorry you have had a dismal day Ante. It usually me who says that about the weather.
I got my postal vote papers the other day and spotted something very odd. For 40 years I have lived in a specific named borough yet on my voting papers I discovered that I had been allocated a different area. I rang the council this morning to find out what was going on. Spoke to a really pleasant lady who after some consultation with others told me that the Government had redrawn boundaries so I had been 'moved' into a new borough! I had checked with Jack who is literally across the road from me and he is still in my old, familiar borough. What the heck is going on I wonder? I had been allocated three votes but as there was only ONE person representing who I wished to vote for I only drew my little kiss, once. What a farce.

Always useful to have a second pair. We have several!! Or at least, I think we still do.🤔
