Great news Busy - on both counts. Hope they haven't made too much mess. I think I recall you saying that is the external connection box that is being sorted out today

Done! Now on Laptop instead of phone 26Mbps, has been under 1 sometimes. It was inside and outside LB as the wiring the other day inside was temporary. Hole drilled in house wall near the TV for the new wire. Old one was through the window sill on the other side of the room with the cable running across the room along the beams.

Such sad news about Len Goodman. I liked him, nice, down to earth chap who said it like it was.
LB, fine today, thank you, after my back bending exercises yesterday😂 You're right to take it easy recovering, no point in making something worse. Jobs will always wait until another day.
Busy, glad your OH has got an OK from the hospital. Now he can sated away too and enjoy being pain free.
I got a nifty little item this morning whilst out. A Pocket Torando ( fan). Flat, rechargeable with wrist/ neck strap. Lightweight. Treated myself to one for when out gardening in the summer heat! £1.99p....last of the big spenders😂

That sounds a much better solution Busy. 26Mb sounds quite slow Busy. Is that because of where you live? It must be nice to have a bigger screen for your internet 'work'.
Hazel - I hope we get the heat this summer so that you can get the benefits of your fan. Such a bargain. How long does a full charge last?

LB, that info wasn't available within the instructions. Can take up to an hour to charge up.
Horrible day weather wise, raining, sun shining, great gusts of wind, sun shining, raining, on it goes. I've covered all the plants I wanted to protect  ready for tonight, just in case.

Hazel, that is a good idea. Apparently tonight and Tuesday night could be quite frosty. It is already starting to go cooler here even though the sun is shining. Its quiz night tonight so I will have to get the old brain cells in gear.

Gosh, LB, I thought 26Mb was really fast. It's gone up to 35 now. In France I have between 5 and 10 and my old house was often under 1. I couldn't see all the photos on the gallery here. No fibre here yet or in France.

Have caught up with some indoor jobs today but we are going out in the morning for a piece of (tight ) trellis 6x2 ft to put up in the garden to act as a kind of windbreak from the wind tunnel from down the side of the house.  It will help shelter some border plants. We used to have one but it got broken.

We have, bizarrely, lost a pair of scissors in the house. We've looked everywhere and then some. They are the quite large ones so not easily lost down the seats of chairs or sofas etc. A mystery🧐

I'm signing  off for today folks. Have a good evening.
  • @Songbird-2 I take it you've looked in the 'other' places like the fridge or linen cupboard?
