Pretty Hellebore that, I don't grow them but enjoy seeing them.. cute dog, and terrible Ivy.. hope you get that sorted..
Lovely roses Elbfee.. I've had Sangerhausen J. here.. beautiful blooms, I used to cut one and walk around the garden with it.. It's sold here as 'The Wren'...
Welcome also to @Herbloom on the Roses thread here.. you have 2 very popular roses I think.. I've had 'Enchantress', lovely scent to it.. Hope they both do well for you, and that you get some more roses for your garden..
So great to welcome new rose friends on here. Looks like starting a new thread helps so that is a very good reason to continue breaking up the thread into seasons, thank you Marlorena. A dreary Spring Equinox here but am so encouraged by all the rose news and pictures of progress.
Welcome @Herbloom, glad you took the plunge and joined in. Excellent rose choices too, I hope you enjoy them. Purple Lodge (aka Palais Biron) is in my top 5 of over 50 roses, it has great health, lovely ruffled blooms and an intoxicating fragrance. It’s one I return to many times to plunge my nose into. You getting it is a good excuse to post some photos of it again! It’s more a deep violet pink for me in my warmer climate, but I love it nonetheless..
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.

Thank you. I'm very excited for them both to bloom. And I'm sure there'll be plenty of inspiration to add to my tiny collection in this thread within a few months!

Oh, how beautiful! I hope it turns out half as gorgeous in my wet climate. (And with my novice thumbs...)
'Mutabilis' grows huge in southern England, contrary to what you may read elsewhere.. I pruned it back during the winter but it's already 6' x 8' and it's a rose that matures quickly. I could have pruned it much harder but chose not to, for this year as I have fence to cover..
..a young 'Bathsheba' planted during winter.. ..this is own root 'Scarborough Fair'.. it had a very small root system when planted last year, so doing really well now..
I get very heavy summer rain here sometimes @Herbloom and it stands up to it pretty well. You should also get deeper purple tones, assuming you are in the UK/Ireland - of which I shall be extremely envious!

Everyone getting plenty of rain lately? my waterbutts are overflowing and I planted a clematis today and the soil deep down was quite moist. Good news !.. at least for this particular region..

We bought our first house with a garden last year, and for my November birthday I was lucky to receive a couple of bareroot roses.
