@edhelka, thanks so much for all those photos, they are absolutely the decider for me, I have the wrong rose. Not just the bud and bloom colour but the foliage shape and lack of glossy leaves, the absence of red stems and my curly, reflexed sepals. All wrong!
I will email Loubert with some photos to see what they say. Be interesting to see if they can ID it.

@agnasia When they are at their best Bathsheba, Wollerton Old Hall and The Generous Gardener all make my heart sing. But they all have faults and are not at their best for nearly as long as SH. Of the climbers not yet mature I have high hopes for Wild Rover, Pierre Ronsard (Eden) and Alexandre Girault but I know what their faults will be too. SH is just the most dependable one pipped into second place in almost all the categories of bloom form (behind Bathsheba), scent (TGG), colour (WOH), health (CA), most floriferous (Blush Noisette).
SH isn't even my favourite climber WAMS, it's just one I have no hesitation recommending.
I do think it's one of the very nicest roses on this thread, though, Tack- just personal taste. I don't know if I will be able to get Shropshire Lad, which I really wanted, so other cupped pink rosette roses that aren't too globular- yes, please. Also recently planted pink Tantau climber Giardina... just worried it might be a little too cupped.
Hope you get to the bottom of the mystery, @Nollie!
Not long till DA release at least one rose, is it?
@Tack thank you for all of the detail, very useful for me. I have wollerton old hall and the generous gardener, while I’m still waiting on GG to out on some growth, I’m really happy with wollerton.
The others you mention are all on the list - Bathsheba, Claire Austin and Blush Noisette, along with Strawberry Hill. I’m just trying to play with combinations to see what might work best. I’m just worried that area might end up too pink, especially if I go with a pink rose for the pot.
Eustacia does not seem bothered at all after her move and is putting on some much better growth, so it was the right decision (to move her).
Despite the black spot, I think bridge of sighs will be my first to bloom, although it will be a close call versus Desdemona.
@Nollie Hi Nollie, I've just seen the aforementioned thread on BB kindly supplied by @Marlorena. By the looks of it it can be a bit of a monster...4 metre canes, that's some going. I haven't got room for anything that big, so a certain amount of pruning might be needed to keep it more compact. Should be interesting.
Had a short but ferocious downpour yesterday evening, the kind we used to often get in summer. A bit of damage but the grass is regrowing and the water butts are full again so I’m happy. I often describe my weather patterns as bonkers so I’m surprised it still has the power to surprise me!
Mme. Antoine Mari is clearly getting stronger, stood up to the rain much better:

Lady of Shallot looking happier (apart from the sawfly decimation) in it’s third position in the garden. The first was too hot and sunny, the second too shady and hopefully now it has the right spot:

Really excited to see the first tiny buds on my new GdF today, just need more sunshine.
Most of my roses are just beginning to bud with Blue for You being the most advanced. Pleased to see a sparrow delicately picking off aphids from a couple of my EduH rosebuds.

Thanks for that. Sounds and looks ideal. I hadn't noticed they sold stuff like that.
