@Discandied It's not possible to be definitive about your no i.d. rose without seeing better photos, but looking at various factors I'm prepared to take a guess that it's 'St. Ethelburga'..
@Marlorena It is not big (yet), it is in a weird spot (that also makes it hard to take a good photo). The idea was that the weird spot will limit her size. It is at the end of the raised bed, growing over the small shed. Rosa glauca in evening dappled light
Stephanie d' Ursel.. appears a bit sparse like Hybrid teas.. a nice medium-strong fragrance.. a bit of fruitiness in it..
Snaking blooms of Clementina Carbonieri.. Pure tea fragrance..
Eyes for you.. strong fragrance and remains compact.. the new flowers are more pink tinged and as they age the outer part becomes pure white with the inner part changing from pink to violet..
Golden Celebration and a small Gruss an Teplitz bloom.. contrasting fragrance of tea and sweet/ floral respectively...
First buds on Graham Thomas - my one new rose this year.
View from the back window this evening, garden really waking up now.
Allotment aquilegia
Love this. Spotted these two mason bees resting in the bee hotel last evening. Then this morning some more holes were filled in. There are 5 filled holes now. So that's already double what we had last year. You can see one of the old ones with a circular hole in it where last years hatched out.
Love all your posts and pics. My list
grows: Natalija @JessicaS, Lady Waterlow @pitter-patter Gruß an
Aachen @peteS, drooling. @AlliumPurpleSensation living in a harbour
town your roped garden really roped me in. Actually, all the full
garden shots are very lovely and inspiring.
Feel terrible because this is all I can
contribute after hiding for 10 pages. I discovered it while watering. All the rain seems to go to @Nollie. Hopefully, it drowns those beetles.
My roses channel Sleeping Beauty
although the weather is really nice. On the bright side, no
deadheading required. Used the time to pressure wash the patios. With
all my pots they are starting to look rather Tack-ish minus the
blooms.
The one and only scent wafter is lilac
Palibin, in the background.
Hesperis matronalis and lots of Iris
blooming away.
If anybody wants to give bare roots in
May a try, Schmid Gartenpflanzen has them on sale til the end of the
month. You might find some discontinued DA. Just mentioning it.
All Cistus owners, thank you, beautiful
pictures. Mine has frozen to death last winter.
@Marlorena, don't feel bad about
sleeping co-driver fail. Awake I managed to guide us south instead of
north because I got confused with the noon sun position in South
Africa. None of the names on the map appeared. Coupled with jet lag
it took some time until it finally clicked.
If anyone interested.. Lidl has got more Lavender 'Anouk' in stock at £2.99. I have bought two more and have 3 now. I like the scent and bright purple flowers. @Marlorena I would be grateful to hear how to grow/care them. Many Thanks.

Celine Forrestier.. vigorous and beautiful blooms.. unfortunately only mild Tea scented in second year as well..
The famous 'Desdemona'..
Twilight zone.. new buds have a rose scent and opened once more spicy..
Young Lycidas.. wide unruly growth.. strong old rose fragrance.. colour is washed a bit compared to the previous blooms..
