    @Trish_Still_Learning sorry I don’t have the answer but I’m sure more experienced rose growers on here will be able to assist.

    @Trish_Still_Learning it looks just like my Arthur Bell rose (bud and bloom), which has a wonderful fragrance. Lots of good advice I have picked up on here including to feed with granular rose food twice a year (spring and midsummer)- and mulch with manure or similar- it seems to make a huge difference.

    @ElbFee cornflower heaven!
  • @WAMS thank you 🙏 I magically did the right thing with feeding it a few weeks ago ❤️.
    do I cut it right back on the late Autumn?

    I just had to say, if I haven't already, I love your two potted roses.. favourites of mine helps but they are magnificent..

    Your arch is a bit too small isn't it?  that's how James Galway is, too vigorous for anything other than a large structure.. I would feel a bit overwhelmed by that, and I think perhaps you are too?
    I think what I would do is after the main flush, cut all laterals back hard to just two nodes on the stem..  and shorten the main framework...
