I think it might already be affecting south eastern parts here.. still, it's not yet anything like last July.. I'm more concerned about drought, it's becoming very difficult.. we used to get wet June's but I don't know what's happened to those..
Your 'Scarborough Fair' is just lovely Tack.. and very bold to put 3 Frilly Cuffs together.. looking forward to seeing how you manage that..
@Jason-3 I have 'Elizabeth'.. it's healthy, growing well, very vigorous.. I have it on an obelisk and is growing up that quite well, also some spreading growth.. quite attractive shape..
Scent is medium to me, I'm not yet overly excited by that aspect.. and the blooms shatter after 3-4 days.. however, like all Austin's they get better with age, and I think in time, the blooms will be larger, more dramatic and I'm not seeing the best of it yet, by any means... so too early to be conclusive but it's very floriferous.. masses of buds waiting to open..
@Marlorena The second pic is DA "Grace". It seems to take over it produces so many flowers and always looks good. I think the "wild" one may have been a purchase from Poundland some years ago and has only just flowered. I am rather fond of it!
I've had some Desdemona crispiness today. First time, even with the big heat wave last year, mind you I suppose she wasn't flowering during that. Only on some of the older blooms.
Uhoh that sounds ominous Marlorena! I was obeying DAs 3 in a pot recommendation but if they're too unmanageable next year no real harm done. Colour looks good from the house
My Blue Diamond (also known as Hi Ho Silver) is starting to unfurl it's petals, will be interesting to also see how it fades. Hoping for a nice silver/grey.
You can't really see it yet but I'm hoping it will add another point of interest to this area.
Its to the right of the conifer and behind the Nepeta.
^..that should blend in well shouldn't it.. I like the name Hi Ho Silver..
A cosy corner @owd potter I like your row of Alchemilla... I don't grow that here..
I find the oldest blooms on 'Desdemona' crisp, but the fresher one's don't, unless it's much hotter, like mid 90's... I deadheaded all the ugly ones today..
I'm very pleased with this 'Amelie Nothomb'.. no heat issues and lots of vigour.. nice pleasant scent..
Kew Gardens and Gruss an Aachen looking a little bit crispy. Foliage edges dried up too. we had about an hour’s rain last night but I’ve just used that up administering Sunday lunch. tanks are dry again, but there are a few rumbles overhead right now…

Makes for easier viewing of these.
Decided to move a bench today to create a seat from which to better appreciate this corner
