    I wrote too soon, when I removed the bag this lot fell off. All the bits have rust on the lower leaves, not so happy now

    😐

    They're not really making it easy for us to keep deciding to give them our money, are they?!

    ..something seriously amiss there... I notice you had wool on the top of your pot.. I read that they're sending out potted roses with wool covering that you plant with the rose as it's biodegradable.. I didn't get any wool on mine..  perhaps I should complain?  where's my wool !..

    I'll happily swap the entire thing @Marlorena :) . Do you have rust? Do you generally do anything about it? I have just got rid of my worst culprit, Timeless Purple, because it had started to show some. I don't expect to see it this early in the season, later on I just defoliate.

    @Tack
    No, no rust.. the foliage on the one I received is perfect so far, and no sign of bullnosed buds..  If I find rust, and it's only minor, I either leave it, or pick the leaves off.. depends how bad it is..  I've had rust on young roses before and not seen it when mature..

    I like the colour of the buds in Penelope. I will wait for your reviews 😊

    @Alfie_
    I just looked on Harkness roses website.. and the rose photos they have for Queen Elizabeth II looks to me like Chandos Beauty.. do you see a similarity?..
    I notice they do not give a breeder's code for QE II rose, which they should do.. the code for C Beauty is 'HARmisty'..  and for Hamilton Princess it's HARzinc...

    The breeder's code cannot be changed even if the commercial name changes..

    Your 'Scepter'd Isle' looks great ..
