Thank you Eustace. I didn't want to repeat Poets wife and hence gave the cutting to neighbour before the move. So in the search for another yellow with good fragrance. I also tend to like the paler yellows more.
Well said @PeterAberdeen This site is full of inspiration. I remember Nollie lifting boulders to build up his garden last year or so.
I've been looking in but not able to contribute without a camera.. that has now been resolved, finally..
Totally impressed with your hard work Peter in Aberdeen.. I do love a bit of new landscaping..
'Comtesse Andre d'Oultremont'.. 'Wilhelm'.. a little known hybrid musk with continuous bloom habit.. Phlox 'Rembrandt'.. the most delicious scent to fill a room with just a few sprays.. 'Mutabilis' with Lythrum.. 'Odelia'.. increasingly impressed with this healthy rose.. my camera has captured the colour perfectly... lovely scent too.. 'Iceberg' climbing version.. 2nd flush.. 'Lucky'.. 'Desdemona'.. Allium and Crocosmia.. 'Cornelia'.. 'Mutabilis' and Dahlias..
so many pages to catch up... All of July was wetter than wet, August started the same. My garden... prime tough mudder contest ground... Not complaining though when the world goes up in flames in other places.
Some roses cope very well with all this humidity. Lichfield Angel, Gentle Hermione, Imogen to name a few are without blackspot. Find the drooping of Lichfield Angel has improved.
Some roses are about to explode in their second flush. Chandos Beauty, Scepter'd Isle, Imogen...
All the rain made Auguste's blooms brighter and not long lasting, but at least no balling. Bedded on a fluffy cloud of Thalictrum.
Still have first blooms. This one comes with a quite strong scent too. I am currently digging around it to erase the comfrey. Never ever again in my garden. Provided I am successful on my evicting mission.
Those are both divine, Tack. Your Dames des C reminds me of Eustacia Vye crossed with Princesse Charlène de Monaco.
The Ingenious Mr Fairchild.... beautiful colours. Some whites (Jacqueline du Pré, John Paul II, Winchester Cathedral, the gorgeous and huge and healthy yellowy Tranquillity, Boule de Neige, new Brenda's Beauty just opening, JP2 again). Plus Starlight Symphony. I don't think I have seen this one without hoverflies, bees or butterflies on it. Well-Being looked like a mini-sun or fireball this morning. Ladybirds continue to abound... Evelyn behind Pretty Jessica Munstead Wood
Edit: Marlorena's Mutabilis and ElbFee's lilac roses are 🔥 🔥 🔥
@Newbie77, I am also gutted about Wilko's probable demise. I get ay least half of my seed and tubers from there, not to mention tools and compost. And the clever pots! It's my only source of John Innes no3, too.
@Tack, thanks. Getting back to gardening after a month feels like it is spring!
@WAMS, and you know what, this is just after I realized Wilko's azalea food is almost same formula as previous DA rose food
@cooldoc, Golden Celebration, Charles Darwin and Bring me Sunshine are other yellows I have with nice fragrance. GC is prone to blackspot and octopus arms, Charles Darwin fades and balls, Bring me Sunshine is doing good this year for me though I wouldn't rate its fragrance as much as the other two.
@Marlorena, that Mutabilis and pom pom Dahlias are amazing!
Technical question please.. for those using mobile phones, are you able to 'like' a post? I cannot. No option appears for some reason. I recently bought a new phone which I'm very pleased with, but it seems the icon to 'like' is not there..

Everything works as expected for me. I use Firefox in mobile just in case it's a browser issue.

Ebb Tide - my phone camera isn't very good at capturing the deep purple.
Munstead Wood - nor the dark red 😧
Seed grown Rugosa, first flower I've seen properly. The plants are all still only a foot tall.
@salo.daria
Bit of balling on RJ

...and a day later...
Only a shy little second flush but beautiful.
