Hello @debs64. I think your post was meant for Resurrected, the Rezzers thread.
OH has a Doctor's appointment at 9, then we are off to the city to have his car serviced and MOT'd. Won't need to borrow a car from the garage as I have my French car with me this time.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Gripped by the last episode of Happy Valley last night. Such a brilliant series; it will surely pick up all the awards. One of the actors, the one who kept trying to arrange Catherine's leaving do, was someone I used to know. Her daughter and mine attended the same youth theatre group, except her daughter went on to drama school and mine to do teacher training.
Nice and sunny out there today - just right for a walk into town for a lunchtime meeting.
Good afternoon all. New Zealand national day today called: Waitangi Day! Always controversy and protests about the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between HM Government and the Maori people in 1840.
Rained during the night, so a grey morning. Swiss ball lesson which was intense especially as the weather was so damp. Came out of the lesson to brilliant sunshine and no wind. It will be a regal to walk with the dog this afternoon!!
I emptied the ash from the fire onto the garden this morning - I really need to make a positive start on the weeding. Good intentions..... but with days like today, it should be a breeze - I'll start tomorrow!
Today: A la Saint Gaston, surveille tes bougeons! I hope you all have a pleasant day.
Good afternoon, early start (for us) so flagging now, not helped by poor sleep in cold N facing spare room. Man is here, old wardrobes dismantled and making good started. How he lifted those old glass sliding doors on his own I'll never know, obviously there is a knack to it. We realise now why it all got so out of shape the units were joined by little plastic blocks most of which had broken, probably caused by the vibration of sliding the doors back and forth. It seems a shame to be discarding so much but we just couldn't get anyone prepared to repair, and fix up old units. The plumber comes tomorrow to change the shower control unit. Anyway this phase should be finished by Wednesday ready for new units next week.
Afternoon all, Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan @Allotment Boy, it will look wonderful when it's finished. We can't believe how we put up with our old shower for so long, the new one's so much better. I still haven't finished sorting out all the stuff when the new boiler was installed, feeling poorly hasn't helped.
Not feeling so grand today, I've started wheezing. Couldn't understand where the funny noise was coming from! Taking it easy and conserving energy.
Did manage a short slow walk round the garden after lunch. Lovely to see all the bulbs coming through, including hyacinths. I've got more of those in a pot in a greenhouse, but wondering whether it's safe enough to bring them out now. We had a heavy frost overnight and I think more is forecast tonight so perhaps not.
Hope all you Happy Valley fans were pleased with the ending last night. I understand from the reviews that it was considered good, although I didn't watch it. Looking forward to the second instalment on Putin tonight - should be interesting.
Hoping to be fit enough to attend my friend's funeral tomorrow.
Take care of yourself @Lizzie27 … that sounds horrid.
The only time I’ve ever wheezed was when I had what we now think was probably Covid in December ‘19 after meeting up with someone been travelling in China. My chest was so tight and noisy I kept waking myself up!!! it actually squeaked!
Night night folks … sleep tight 😴
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Our son is coming down tonight because he has school photos to organise tomorrow. Rather him than me. 🙄
Pixel was calling me onto the veranda very excitably a few minutes ago, so I went out to see was getting her stirred up. There was a little hare on the step below calmly sitting there nibbling a long piece of grass. 🤭. It was happy until Hubby stomped out to see what we were looking at, then it rushed off. 😒
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ I love hares @Pat E 😃 have a lovely evening with your son. 👍
We have a frosty morning but the sun is shining … there’s a pair of woodpigeons dozing on the tv aerial opposite … their breasts are really pink in the low sunshine.

Sunny day but very frosty all round. Yesterday I did my 30 minutes of weeding, even such short spell has an impact on my poor back. Moving on, I have finally programmed the trail camera that I was given at Christmas. There won't be hares I am afraid but I am hoping to get squirrels and hedgehogs later on in the spring. Quite the upheaval in your house @Allotment Boy but I am sure you will be very happy with it once all the workers/plumbers have gone. Keep warm @Lizzie27 although we all get itchy feet as soon as the sun comes out at this time of year it is actually still mid-winter. Meteorological spring is a month away!
Meanwhile keep well and gather energy for next month.

For those who try to overdo it - don't!

I hope the wardrobe installation goes smoothly @Allotment Boy. Is there no heating in the spare room?
I have wheezed. One year, a few years ago I had bronchitis 3 times, then I had Covid last year. I hope your wheeze goes soon @Lizzie27.
We saw a hare yesterday, on our way to collect OH's car. We went the country lane way, the A11 is full of roadworks. Car passed it's MOT.
Today we are going to Bury St Edmunds to take a friend to hospital for his knee. Then we'll have lunch in a pub before taking his wife home.
