Good morning all, so pleased to hear about the continuing progress @Dovefromabove. We are back to cleaning and moving back in to our room. Collecting the curtains from the cleaners today. We took the afternoon off yesterday and went to see Witnesses for the Prosecution (Agatha Christie). It was staged in the debating chamber of the old LCC, GLA County Hall on the southbank. An excellent way to spend an afternoon early evening.
Just phoned the hospital ... he's going into theatre to have his dressings changed this morning ... we should be able to see him after 2 ish, so we'll leave here about 11.30. He'll still be under heavy sedation but they say he may be aware of my voice.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I hope your son will be aware of you as well @Dovefromabove. Best wishes both for your journey and visit.
Overcast and gusty this morning but has stopped raining. May tackle my curtains again today got some mending to do on the lining before I can hang them.
So glad you can go and see him this afternoon @Dovefromabove, I'm sure he will sense that you are there even if he cant actually hear you (I have heard that this is possible). Also it will good to be reassured by any up to date information that the nursing staff/doctors may be able to give you. Thoughts will be with you.
Good luck with the Doctor visit @Pat E, hopefully some news to help you.
Not been too well myself these last few days, hoping to pop to the Docs this afternoon if I feel well enough - seems silly to feel too ill to go to the Docs doesn't it, but at the moment I just want my bed! Must pull myself together.
I can't remember who asked but the curtains cost just short of £70 to be cleaned. As I mentioned before they have heavy blackout lining so I I don't think we could have washed them even if we wanted to.
