We are back from OH's pre-op assessment, 3rd time we've got this far 🤞
OH's BP was very high to start with, despite the diazepam, but it gradually went down during the appointment. They were happy with all his test results, lung function etc. They have ordered loo seats with handles and a high stool to sit on in front of the wash basin and they gave him a pack of stuff to wash with and a booklet of instructions. Op is booked for the 23rd, two days before his birthday.

The main reason it was cancelled in January appears to be that the roof over one of the operating theatres fell in! 😲 Not only did Boris not provide the promised 40 new hospitals, they didn't repair the old ones.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Glad all seems well @Busy-Lizzie … roof not withstanding … or rather not standing at all.

    Evening.

Tired out from interviewing today. Luckily there’s homemade cottage pie (with extra layer of root veg mash) leftovers for tonight 😋

A few weeks ago, I was longing for the temperatures to go into double figures but after a few days of that, I’m after an upgrade already. Still wearing double jumpers/fleece/dressing gowns here (I’m still being economical with heating).

Take it easy all. Remember: little things and little wins are the key.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • He’s had a calm day with nothing concerning. They’re planning to change his dressings tomorrow so we’ll ring in the morning to see if we can visit at some time, or whether to go Saturday. 🤞

Morning. I’m glad to read the various improvements for you all. Tui, I love your cloud interpretations.
I’m seeing my GP today, so that will be interesting.

    Hi all

Very windy here today, had to shut bedroom window during the night.
How can you lie there and think of England

it's about 6 months too early to even consider having a bedroom window open at night.
