    Hello all.

Bad news about Jack. I hope he's OK.

I hope Hazel isn't in too much pain.

OH is gradually getting more mobile and has upped his exercises.

It's been raining gently most of the day. I managed a short walk this afternoon without getting too wet. When I got back a couple of friends had called round. This morning our vicar popped in for 1 1/2 hours. He's very nice. So it's been quite a sociable sort of day.

Evening everyone. Rubbish day and not up to chatting. No E Consult available today from GP surgery, even went in to the surgery, no appointments of any nature for weeks. I don't know what to do. Will try an online consult tomorrow. Failing that, I may have to ring 111.
LB, worrying time for/about Jack. I do hope he hasn't had a stroke and how horrible that his daughter can't get to him in hospital easily. Things always happen at the worst time of year....although anytime is horrible. Will be thinking about him and sending him some positive  warm vibes and thoughts.
Ante, I couldn't contemplate painting right now, the thought even puts me off😬 But like you, we will have to do it sometime this year. Have a lovely time with your sister, that will be great for you both. Oh my, that marmalade cake does sound rather beautiful. Have you got the recipe please? I rather like citrus fruits in a cake.....not often, but would go down a treat right now.

Hi Hazel. Sorry to hear that you had a rubbish day. Hope you will somehow sorted that appointment. Can I please write you recipe tomorrow? It's simple sponge with orange marmalade. My backs hurt after all that painting, but I thought that it must be done after laying tiles. It's better to do everything and not prolong.

Oh there's no rush at all @Ante1. Just when you're rested and have a moment. But, I do have a recipe for a simple sponge, do I just add marmalade? I can manage that! So don't you worry about writing the recipe down  at all.
Have a rest now, you deserve  it after all the work you have been doing. Take care. Painting is nightmare when you've done loads, hope you're okay tomorrow.
Signing out for tonight. Take care everyone. Night all.

Evening all, Had an afternoon looking after the boys, they were good and enjoyed the lasagne they had for tea followed by cheesecake.  Secondborn came home fairly early so I wasn't too late getting home.  Have ordered new wallpaper for one wall in the bathroom and when it arrived I will choose paint.  I'm going for a coastal theme and I've put the decorator on standby.  Hopefully he will come round sometime this week to give me a quote and a date.
Sorry to hear about Jack @Ladybird4, hope he's OK.
Hugs for Hazel.  Hope you get an appointment soon.  The situation with GP's is getting absolutely ridiculous.
Ante you need to relax a bit and take care of your aches and pains.

A very good morning one and all. Not heard anything about Jack yet but I'll try calling his daughter later. Hazel, what a nightmare for you. Is there any mileage in chatting with a pharmacist in the mean time until you can get a contact with 111?
Ante, safe journey to the airport to pick up your sister.
Busy, that is good news about your OH. My friend is fully recovered now, she just jokes that the rest of her body needs sorting out now.
Yvie,. good to read you had a nice time with the small people.
I am going to make a quick SM dash this morning - got a few parcels due and I don't want to miss them. Its looking dry at the moment so I may get chance to plant my Jerusalem artichokes later.

Morning all. We've had a little bit of the white stuff overnight and I've just waved OH off on his motorbike as he's taking it for it's annual service. The garage he goes to is in a small village and it's cross country via minor roads. He is under strict instructions to drive carefully!

Fingers crossed you receive reassuring news about Jack this morning LB.🤞

    Morning all.

We've woken up to a white garden. I hope the roads are clear as I have to go out to get OH's hearing aid from Specsavers. He lost one. Glad I have winter tyres on my car.
