Looks as though we will be getting some of the much needed rain later today

I have been pain free for a few weeks, never been so blooming happy, after being in various severe pain since march 2022! Got my fancy scan (legion found on right adrenal gland, found by accident on scan for severe abdo pain) 27th, not sure if that actually counts as a RTBC! I have a cystocele, and it says I need a full bladder "please drink a ltr of water an hour before the scan".I will have to go an hour early, and explain the situation to the staff.
  • It is raining proper rain at last! It started at midnight and has been non stop, what a huge benefit it is going to be to everything. The howling hooley with it is not so welcome. Yellow warning plus stay away from the beaches, very large waves forecast. I expect some idiots will try playing Russian Roulette somewhere.

The forecast says good steady rain here for the rest of the day with reasonably high probabilities 🤞🤞

Not sure whether to be curmudgeonly because the tree was destroyed, or cheerful because it’s been taken reeeeeeally seriously

Can’t quite believe this! Late last night, I realised that I was getting low on a prescription item I use, so I logged into my GP practice account and requested the medication. Usual minimum four days for GP to approve, send request to local Boots pharmacy, and for them to contact me to advise it’s ready to collect.
I got a text this afternoon from Boots to tell me the prescription is ready! Less than 24 hours! Is this a record?

That is good service @Ergates as was the following:-

My GP rang me at about 2.30pm last Tuesday to confirm the diagnosis of Polymyalgia, told me he'd already emailed the prescription direct to our local Boots and we picked it up less than an hour later. I was gobsmacked! (It might well have had EMERGENCY written in big red letters on it I suppose!!)

Our surgery normally has a delay of up to 2 weeks from request for prescription to it being issued.  My wife requested a repeat on a Wednesday, I went to see if it was at the chemist on the Monday and the staff all had a good laugh at the idea that it might be available - it wasn't.  I called in today and the label was dated Tuesday, so under a week which is incredibly fast for our surgery.
  • Went for a walk in these blowy conditions. How fabulous the wind sounds in the trees, when there is no other sound!!!😃
