    Happy birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel!

    So sad @Hostafan1.  ((((hugs)))).

Nothing to report from this end.  Planning meeting this afternoon - how to get them to understand that they have to actually make decisions rather than just talking about it?

  • Thank you all for your kind wishes. I have done some (enough for a clear conscience) paperwork and am now in the process of booking skis, lift passes and lessons for our upcoming ski holiday, blow the expense, Charlie and I relish every moment of this annual event.

I have also , possibly, with luck, engaged someone to take over the making of cakes for me in the summer months, I really can't get myself so over worked this summer, and I need to spend more time out front with clients, not down in the basement kitchen.

Small steps but all moving forwards, trying to be positive.

    Big, big hug @Hostafan1

Good day to all, I'll be sharing cake later with you all. :)

Happy Birthday @D0rdogne_Damsel - I hope you aren’t making your own cake today? (although that would guarantee deliciousness suppose)  🎂

I’ve been out in the garden!! I only emptied a few pots of annuals, pulled a few brown stems and filled bird feeders/water but it was a real tonic to be outside (4 layers and a bobble hat of course).

Look after yourself folks, @Hostafan1 in particular, and anyone else feeling less than tip top.

I woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep.
I hoovered all the tiled floors, I've steam cleaned them all. I even got down on my hands and knees and cleaned the skirting boards with a tootbrush.

Steady on @Hostafan1, you'll put me to shame! Cleaning with a toothbrush is a step too far.

Have you thought of doing B&B at all?

Happy Birthday, @D0rdogne_Damsel. And belated wishes to Hostafan, and early ones to Allotment Boy! Very cold this morning, still in minus numbers at 9am, with frosty roofs and ice patches in the shade. I’d planned to walk up to the village for a meeting of the women’s group, but OH decided it would be safer to drive me, not unhappy about that!
First meeting of the group I have attended, and it was great fun, a really friendly bunch.Looking forward to the next meeting. Dentist this afternoon, I got a clean bill of health, but OH will have to lose a dodgy back tooth. It should probably have gone years ago, but he managed to hang on to it, despite my better judgement. He is not best pleased. I shall be relieved when it has gone, it’s definitely a ticking time bomb.
